Good Breakfast

I think someone said, simple is best. Good food, prices and service. This tiny place has no room for big parties.

We recently took our first trip to Boothbay Harbor, ME and came across the Bridge Street Cafe while sightseeing. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating; lunch was delicious. We had burgers, fries and soup. My husband said they were the best fries he's ever had. Only minor complaint is that the soup was served lukewarm. Since it... More

Boothbay Harbor is a Big-Food-off-a-truck kind of town in summer. Most of what you pay for is the short season and the view. Not here. They are picky about their ingredients, and they cook it well. This is not fast food - so don't expect to rush.

I wanted to like this cafe, which is up on the second floor and light-filled, but my meal was astoundingly bad. And it was just salad with grilled chicken!

Excellent service and good food! Since we were traveling late in the fall season it was a great find. Would definitely come back.

when we travel, a good breakfast is a must to start the day. The Bridge St Cafe did not disappoint us. My wife had pannetone French toast (something we usually only get around Christmas). I had fried eggs and toast. They do not poach or boil eggs. The couple with us had an omelet, oatmeal and a homemade scone. The... More

How hard can breakfast be when there are only a handful of people in the place? (That should have been a clue.) Our breakfast consisted of burnt toast, laced eggs, tough bacon, dry breakfast sausage and no coffee refills. All for $27 for two. Very disappointed.

If you go into a cafe for just a coffee and a muffin, would ou expect to wait more than half an hour and 2 cups of coffee before the muffin came? Neither would we, which is why I cannot possibly recommended this cafe, as no matter how hood the food may be, the service was unacceptably slow.

We stumbled on this fabulous little place, which reminded me of the classic English cafe's I grew up with. Breakfast was excellent: home made fruit/granola parfait, scones and the VA ham with cheese on bagel (one of the specials) was terrific. The atmosphere was bright and fun. Service was excellent, and the classic home made food was great.

Simple and cute and has a view of the walking bridge and down the street. Food was very good and the service spot on and friendly. Simple home cooked meals with fun specials. Today's was an Irish Breakfast with corned beef Swiss cheese and eggs.
