We travelled the Maine coast for a 10 day trip before my husband , who was fortunate to go on a Maine Moose Hunt. My alltime favorite place was Boothbay Harbor and The Tugboat Inn. Delicious seafood, perfectly prepared, with a window seat overlooking the harbor at dusk. Just what a getaway weekend is all about. Perfection. Would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant, and we've been eating there for years. It's a favorite. more

Quite a few restaurants were not yet open for the season, however, we found the Tugboat Inn Restaurant at the end of Commerce Street. I had an excellent casserole with meat from one whole lobster sauted in butter and sherry. My husband was very pleased with is choice of a scallop casserole.
