It's a simple thing but this is the only restaurant we have been in where the server automatically brought water to the table and gave the kids theirs in kids cups. The food was great.

This was my first experience with spelt pizza dough and they seem to do it right at Barncastle. We had the Greek pizza twice and couldn't get enough of it. We wanted to avoid and noise from the music on Wednesday evenings so we were ushered into the furthest room from the pub area. However, upon leaving we found it... More

Went for a late lunch just when they opened for the day at 3 PM. We ate in the sunroom off the beautiful bar. We got a super salad with feta and apricots, clam chowder, delicious crab cakes, lasagna with white sausage, and pizza with clams and bacon with an Alfredo sauce. We had a couple ciders on tap that... More

Family run and cozy. I had a fun talking with the owner and her brother - in - law. Rooms are neat, tidy and very comfortable. Private setting with lots of local color, learned as much about the area as I was willing to ask for.

My friend and I went here for dinner and were expecting a little more out of this restaurant then we got. We both had dry plain salads that sounded much better on paper than they were in reality. For diner I had the vegetarian chili which had a nice combination of carrots and chickpeas. I would not go back here... More

I love the Barncastle. It's a beautiful building in a charming setting. I usually order the Thai salad but I've had the pizza and the bread sticks too. Everything I've had was excellent. The wait staff couldn't be nicer.

We always order the same pizza, even though we keep making plans to try something else, but the Portabella-Rosemary is Sooo good( on spelt or regular crust )that it is hard to give it up. My friend likes the lasagne a lot. The Barncastle salad or the apple blue cheese one is great too. We sometimes share a small pizza... More

I wanted to go to a cozy place with a fireplace and I did! The service was wonderful, they even added another log on the fire for me! The food was very good and we all had a wonderful time and great beer!

If you have the chance, definitely have a meal at the Barncastle. The old cottage-like house provided a warm setting. The wine list was robust, as well as the food choices. I had a glider, which is kin to a calzone and it was delicious.

This was a really neat restaurant. We loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious! We would definitely eat here again the next time we are visiting the area.
