We always order the same pizza, even though we keep making plans to try something else, but the Portabella-Rosemary is Sooo good( on spelt or regular crust )that it is hard to give it up. My friend likes the lasagne a lot. The Barncastle salad or the apple blue cheese one is great too. We sometimes share a small pizza... More

I wanted to go to a cozy place with a fireplace and I did! The service was wonderful, they even added another log on the fire for me! The food was very good and we all had a wonderful time and great beer!

If you have the chance, definitely have a meal at the Barncastle. The old cottage-like house provided a warm setting. The wine list was robust, as well as the food choices. I had a glider, which is kin to a calzone and it was delicious.

This was a really neat restaurant. We loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious! We would definitely eat here again the next time we are visiting the area.

The Barncastle does not take reservations for parties smaller than 6 people, so if you're a small family you're out of luck. Knowing we might have to wait for a table, our family of 3 arrived last night at 7pm for dinner. We were told to expect a 20-25 minute wait, which was fine with us. We were finally seated... More

This place is great. It was our first time for dinner in Blue Hill and we are just amazed. My husband had the bianco sausage lasagna which was fabulous. Scallops appetizer was great, and the service was friendly and efficient. The best part, though, was the dessert. We split the strawberry-rhubarb-apple piecrisp with ice cream. The portion was ample, not... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor reviews, we chose Barncastle for a casual dinner and had a great time. Located just outside of town, it's a lovely setting with small rooms that give a cosy feel. We shared a delicious, fresh salad with apple and blue cheese then each had a really good thin crust pizza. The very nice evening was enhanced... More

We get takeout pizza here as often as we dine in. The pizza is great, but there are other nice offerings as well. Very popular, so there is often a wait on weekend evenings. The restaurant is in an old house, so there are several rooms to choose from, including an enclosed porch. Good for an intimate dinner as well... More

To us the sign of a good meal are the salad and dressing, bread and quality of butter. If they spend time on these two mundane items and it comes off well, I figure they will do great with the rest of the meal. And two places we find have done and proved that idea are Barn Castle in Blue... More
