Tucked away behind University of New England on Hill's beach this small restaurant is a delight. All home made food. Reasonably priced. A must if you are in the area.

We got to this quaint restaurant about 5:50 p.m. on a Thursday and got the last inside table. The restaurant has some picnic tables outside, but we wanted to eat inside. We both ordered a bowl of the seafood chowder and a mixed salad. The chowder was creamy and full of various pieces of seafood. It made a great meal... More

Had a very so so experience about a year ago, and we were not inclined go back. Happily we visited again and had such a great experience that we went back the next day! Everyone in our party ordered something different and each meal was quite tasty! And dessert was great too....the shortcake biscuit was just perfect!

Six of us went to Buffleheads on a Sunday. We had no problem getting a table by a window and were able to enjoy the ocean breezes and view of the bay. The service here is great, and the food is always delicious. We all ate so much we weren't able to have dessert. The list of desserts was long... More

We've been going to Buffleheads for many years and stopped in last night for dinner. A couple new items on the menu grabbed our attention & pulled us away from some of our favorites. The good news is that we've just added two more dishes to our favorites. Unfortunately, neither of us had room for their fantastic desserts.

we were a group of five adults and a 2 year old child and we went there recently for supper; we really enjoyed the place, located in a small village alongside Hills beach; food was good (clam chowder, fish and chips, fried scallops, etc.) and service was friendly and more than adequate; they had everything for a small kid, high... We got take out from Buffleheads this week. Although I didn't care for the seafood chowder, all the other items were super. The haddock with shrimp and crab stuffing was great and the desserts were all so enticing that my husband brought home one of everything!

This restaurant was recommended to us by the clerk at the hotel where we were staying. We arrived around 5:30 and from the minute we stepped it the door till we walked out, we were surrounded by pleasant people who seemed to love their jobs. The food was excellent as were the prices. The only downfall, and it is a... More

Haven't had lobster in a long time so I had lobster. Personally I don't see what the big deal is about lobster but to each there own. It was ok. Wish I'd had the crab cakes. The service was perfect. But I do take umbrage with not providing extra napkins. The blueberry dessert was good. Not to sweet. Listening to... More

i guess some people are just picky pains in the posterior! it's been 25+ years since i have visited Maine and run across a little paperplate lobster shack somewhere between Bar Harbor and Boston - cement block building painted blue and orange - not even sure it was open and will probably never find it again. don't care i still...
