Did not expect food to be this good so far into the boonies. Excellent Italian dinner spot within walkable distance from The Bethel Inn. Six of us dined on the Tuesday after Christmas. We were seated at a round table near a warm, glowing fireplace, which made our meal more cozy. The food was deliciously prepared. I had the brasciole special (not on regular menu) which was so tasty and tender, in a savory sauce. The rollantini mellanzana was also excellent. Service was impeccable.... More

Bethel is a charming small town, where everybody seems to know everybody. People are friendly and they friendliness is also found in 22 Broad Street restaurant. The Italian food Served here is not the best we've had, but the fact that there is a restaurant of this quality in Bethel is surprising. It is certainly the best food in Bethel.... More

Don't know how we had missed this place on previous visits, but we liked it so much we went twice in 3 days. We visited in fall and the martini bar special was a pumpkintini. It was AWESOME rimmed with cinnamon and nutmeg and not too sweet. The lobster bisque (a special) was one of the best I have ever... More

I'm serious about my Italian food - very serious. I've cooked in the kitchens of a FoodNetwork Italian "Iron Chef"; dine at the best trattorias and ristorantes in Rome and Tuscany; and, I'm almost a regular at NYC's finest. 22 Broad Street makes my A-List. There's a way that Italian's supposed to be done, and the owners know it, nail... More

We were staying in Bethel across the street from 22 Broad Street and went on our last night. Big Mistake. We should have gone more often during the week we were there. Their sommelier is most knowledgeable about his wines and 22 Broad Street has a wonderful selection. Our antipasti platter was plentiful even for 4 people. The lobster bisque... More

This place was a real surprise. The food was excellent. We travel to Bethel a couple of times a year and finally tried 22 Broad Street. Our calms casino appetizer was really exceptional. I had one of the best scallop dishes that I have ever eaten, The scallops were cooked to perfection. My wife's bolognese was delicious. My only complaint was... More

The lobster bisque was the best we ever had, very rich and tasty. The iceberg wedge and roasted beet salads were great. For the main course we had the chicken parmesan and eggplant lasagna which were both very good. The portions were huge and we took the leftovers with us. They were enough for a complete dinner the next night.... More

We were at the restaurant for a large gathering. The owners - John and Amy - could not have been nicer or more helpful. They went out of their way to ensure everything went smoothly. This is a wonderful restaurant and just won the Chowder Cook off last month. There is something for everyone on their menu and they have... More
