I really wanted to like this place. The ambience is nice, the menu is large and interesting and service is friendly. Unfortunately the food was just okay. Many of the dishes lacked flavor and the steaks were cold. Nothing was bad but it just wasn't a really good meal.

Our family of four stopped in for a meal after a day of skiing in the Sunday River area. Rooster's is about a ten or fifteen minute trip from the resort. This is a nice, informal setting, nice and cozy after a cold day. We had mostly pub fare for dinner, with burgers, fish & chips and an appetizer of... More

By far the best pub in Bethel ME. The food is consistently good, and the service attentive and friendly no matter how busy it might be. Welcome to the Cheers of Western Maine.

My wife & I stopped at the restaurant after receiving a recommendation. The restaurant was packed with guests. While the food was very good, it was difficult to obtain service & we sat for quite awhile without seeing a waitress. After ordering we didn't see our waitress again until our food was provided. We then waited longer to settle our... More

I went here for dinner with a friend. The top floor is pretty much all bar, while lots of dining space is located on the first floor. The bar sounded like it was hopping. The downstairs is divided into smaller rooms with a variety of seating options. The parking lot was quite crowded, but we had very little wait for... More

Stopped here for a late lunch as I read previous reviews which were favorable. And I'm glad we did. Greeted warmly by the hostess which was a sharp in contrast to the subzero temperatures outside. Came to ski at Sunday River but it was too cold to ski. Sarah our waitress was friendly and accommodating. Although it was after 3pm... More

A fun place with a great atmosphere. We went for dinner and I had the ribs and my husband had steak tips. We were both very pleased with our meals. The portions were huge. The waitress was very attentive and engaging. The prices are very reasonable. We ordered a dessert to take home and share. It was the cheese cake... More

Couldn't decide where to go one night so popped into the Rooster. How pleased we were. The service was excellent, the food superb and the atmosphere brilliant. We enjoyed it so much we went back four times during our week in Bethel. Go for the sirloin with lobster scampi or the lobster mac and cheese. For dessert you must eat... More

The food here was pretty good. The salad bar was fresh, soup and drinks were very good and we enjoyed wonderful maple butter with their cornbread. There is a bar upstairs, too! Check them out at www.roostersroadhouse.com
