Great place to eat

The waitstaff was friendly & the food was good. I had ribs; these were not the best but are definitely worth the money. I expected more flavor from the meat, however, these were good ribs! My husband had the pot roast and said it was really good. Prices are on par with places like Longhorn or... read more

Made a quick day trip in to Maine from NH, and we stopped at this restaurant for a quick drink and some snacks. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is 2 floors, and we sat upstairs at a high-top table near the bar. We only had appetizers, but everything was tasty. The prices were right, and we'll definitely... More

I was hoping to go and get some Prime Rib one evening but unfortunately it was not on the menu. instead I decided to try the Pot Roast which was rough as all h*ll. I was not impressed what so ever. The service was O.K. ... my friend ordered the chicken pot pie which was pretty average.. Maybe it was... More

Stopped here on our way to Sunday Rivers Ski resort, for lunch. Good, plain, home-style food. Service was good and very reasonable prices. Has children's menu. Decor is very dated with lots of rooster decorations!

Nice salad bar with two soups. Large selection. I would think anyone could find something they would want to eat.

While skiing in early March at Sunday River we went out to Rooster's Roadhouse for "Mexican Monday" night. At first we were seated in the charming restaurant but we didn't see "Mexican Monday" on the menu so we asked, and were told we needed to go upstairs to the pub for that. We were perfectly fine with a more casual... More

I really wanted to like this place. The ambience is nice, the menu is large and interesting and service is friendly. Unfortunately the food was just okay. Many of the dishes lacked flavor and the steaks were cold. Nothing was bad but it just wasn't a really good meal.

Our family of four stopped in for a meal after a day of skiing in the Sunday River area. Rooster's is about a ten or fifteen minute trip from the resort. This is a nice, informal setting, nice and cozy after a cold day. We had mostly pub fare for dinner, with burgers, fish & chips and an appetizer of... More
