We stopped here because it was one of the few places near the Bethel Inn that advertised lobster, and since we're from Virginia, we wanted to maximize our lobster intake. The restaurant was mostly empty (it was 8pm or so on a Tuesday), except for locals drinking at the bar. The menu was ambitious, but had steamed lobster (1.25lbs only),... More

We happened upon this place by accident and it was a wonderful surprise. The price was very reasonable and we were served more food than we could eat.

The food was delicious. I had the pot roast. The bar tender asked if I wanted a choice of starches so I chose roasted red potatoes. It came with mashed which was fine but there was no mention of what happened to the roasted reds. The tap beer selection is not very good if you like modern microbrews. Nothing good... More

The other night my son and I wanted to go out, but not to the same places. We ate here about a year ago, and were less than happy. But, friends all like the place so we decided to give it another try. Glade we did. Waitress was very nice and was always there checking to make sure you had... More

We've been here several times and enjoy the food. Wish the salad bar wasn't in the entry way where people are walking by constantly. It does not appeal to me to eat food that is in a common area of the restaurant. It has a guard on it, but that does not protect food from things flying off people's clothing... More

No dislikes at all. The service was excellent, as was the chicken pot pie. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere that taking a table downstairs afforded me.

We've been coming to Rooster's now for quite a few years, but just never happened to write a review before. What more can I say other than it's absolutely great all the time!! It's a popular local spot with excellent food & service...it's our "go to" place most of the time for an inexpensive, good meal. Their seafood is delivered... More

Went here for lunch and we had Nancy Wilson as our server. Nancy was great and very attentive, and since we were the only ones in the place at the time, the chef came out and said hi and inquired how we liked our food, she was very courteous and professional as well.

Sunday night we decided to dine at the Rooster. At 6:00 pm it was crowded but we were seated promptly . The entire restaurant was decorated with a Halloween theme which added an additional note to an already unique 'barn-like' environment. Food, including a soup and salad bar , was very good. The four of us ordered from all over... More
