While the food was tasty, the service was a bit slow and disorganized - especially for a place so small!!

We have been there a few times over the years and are never disappointed. I've had there bangers and mash and shepard's pie. Last week we both had the chicken pasty. Best I have had in the US. The bartender makes a mean cosmo according to my wife and the moscow mule was great even though it was not served... More

My family and I have vacationed in Bethel Maine for many years. Each year includes more stops at the The Jolly Drayman. Great selection of true British food and wonderful beers/ciders. We have brought our friends from the UK and they actually feel like they are home. The owners are very nice and stop by and chat and let us... More

My family owns a condo at Sunday River which we frequent often. Any weekend we are there we always eat one night at the Drayman. The food and drinks are great and they are so good to my 10 year old son. We take friends here and they feel the same. Quaint atmosphere and tasty beer too!

This English-style pub right in the heart of Maine is terrific if you like great food and a casual friendly atmosphere. It's conveniently located just down the road from Sunday River. We visited two nights in a row during the busy school vacation week. The second night the restaurant was full but they found a place for our family of... More

As the owner of a Bethel restaurant it is always good to try different styles of local food.I have known the owners Fred and Cindy since they bought the Drayman and only have good things to say about the food and hospitality. My wife and I went to experience their renowned fish and hand cut chips and other English fare.... More

We've been going here for years and love this place. The food is varied and good, and I especially like the Indian offerings. They have a great selection of beers also. Fred, the owner also tends bar and makes a great drink.

This was our second trip to bethel area and the best meal in either trip! Seated promptly, good selections of draft beers and wines, and the menu was outstanding......I had the mixed grill and my wife the chicken korma...both excellent....we liked the small rooms and over all atmosphere of the English pub style...we were forced to cut our trip short... A good evening ended on a sour note. Although my family made reservations only a smaller group was able to be actually seated the majority eventually left after waiting over 40 minutes. To state we have never been so thirsty in an English Pub in only one of the reflections on the slow and lacking service.. Then, when no tip... More

I live in town and get to eat here often. I've had some meals that I'd rate a 3 and many meals I'd rate a 5. The first sentence really sums up my review, I eat here often! I keep going back for the meals that rate a 5. One of the "5s" was "Bangers and Mash". Total comfort food,... More
