If you don't eat duck, this isn't the restaurant for you. We have been there multiple times in the past and always had a good meal. Was told it changed hands this summer and we were a bit disappointed in the menu. We don't eat duck so had very few options. I got a steak, wasn't very good. I normally... More

Fun place....warm and friendly. Great food. KAC's were the best! Lovely setting...the best place in Belgrade Lakes.

A lovely lake setting near the dam. The duck is wonderful, but pick your sauce carefully for maximum enjoyment. The scallops were nicely done, but the sauce was a bit too spicy and overpowering. I would suggest asking for a milder one from the variety available.

She's lovely. But never mind that now and listen up everyone: The Village Inn has a new owner(s?) and after a spectacular meal this evening - celebrating a friend's 60th birthday - I can safely and most assuredly say The Village Inn is in great hands (and I really can't get a handle on these last few "less than positive... Let me first say that we own a lakehouse on Great Pond and desperately want to like, and be accepted, at The Village. Nothing is cooler than pulling into the dock with your boat and getting out to eat. I have never had any intention of wanting to write a bad review or dislike this place but BOY have they... More

As a Colby grad, I had fond memories of this place. First, a dinner out with my friends, then later a meal with my husband and his family. I always considered it to be the marriage of two wonderful things: Excellent food and a beautiful location. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The hostess (owner?) was extremely pretentious. I... More

High price for poor quality and skimpy portions. Left hungry and with an empty wallet. Just under $200, dinner for 4.

I have lived in Belgrade for 20 years and my wife grew up on great pond, my wife frequented the Village Inn and was good friends with the original owners, Paul and Priscilla Provandie . My wife and I enjoy finding new and interesting eating establishments and she was really surprised when I told her I had never eaten at... More

We took another couple out for a birthday celebration, but this would be great for a romantic dinner. The guys in the party could not stop raving about the duck. I had the lobster and crab cakes - very awesome sauce with it. Try the beggar's purses for appetizers - great taste that you don't see on many menus. Could... More
