Found my new favorite summer cocktail!

Called Summer Smash. 5 days later and I'm still thinking about how refreshing it was. But along with that some lovely changes have taken place at Village Inn since we last visited 2 years ago. We go every year several times and usually have a nice meal. Under new management now and it is improved. Menu selections excellent..food great...upgraded decor...drinks done right...but our service was poor. The waitress was rude, very impatient, not friendly and she has been there 8 years. No excuse. We were a friendly group of 7 who always have fun. Our... More

Came up with a colleague for the first time on 25 June to try out the famous roasted duck. We both had a great meal. The duck and the NE claim chowder were outstanding. The sunset view from the lake across the street was beautiful.

The Village Inn is under new management. The interior has been redone in a tasteful rustic style. The waitstaff is experienced and very good; the busboys and girls are eager but need some further training and experience. The menu is simple: one each of chicken, lamb, duck, scallops, and haddock, two beef. The only availabe vegetables were creamed spinach and... More

I hate to talk just about the Clam Chowder...but it was the best ever! Everything else was great as well...the appetizers, Duck , NY Sirloin.....and I wanted to try the Rack of Lamb so bad...maybe next time. The menu has so many great choices, perfect wine list, incredible ambience, and the service fantastic. The new owners have hit a home... More

The Village Inn is a great place to have an exquisite dining experience whether its a romantic dinner for two overlooking Belgrade steam, or a summer family celebration. The food selection covers a wide range of choices and ages. I have personally eaten every duck dinner they have on their menu.....absolutely delicious!

This place is awesome! Everything about the experience was top notch. The food, service and drinks are fantastic! We were there for the weekend and ate lunch outside by the lake one afternoon and had dinner in the dining room the next night. For lunch, I had the grass fed burger - it was one of the best burgers I've... More

Our waitress was friendly but not as attentive as one would wish. She forgot to bring coffee as asked, and one of our party waited 15 minutes for a bar drink. When the food arrived, it was not hot. Even though the waitress assured us that the food had just been plated, the potatoes were congealed and it was clear... More

Situated in a rustic, warm and welcoming setting, looking out from your table to the gentle shores of Great Pond you feel like you have been transferred back to a gentler, kinder time in this weary world of ours. The dining room is relaxing and old school. It reminds me of days gone by when my grandparents would take our... More

If you don't eat duck, this isn't the restaurant for you. We have been there multiple times in the past and always had a good meal. Was told it changed hands this summer and we were a bit disappointed in the menu. We don't eat duck so had very few options. I got a steak, wasn't very good. I normally... More
