We always eat at Darby's at least once when we visit Belfast or are passing through or staying in other midcoast towns. I usually get the Pad Thai which is plentiful and delicious or the crab melt which is full of sweet crabmeat and always good but chose the Grilled Chicken Cobb salad which was fresh and very good with... Varied menu with lots of choices. Good mixed drinks. This is a fun place with a friendly staff and good, fresh food.

I have been to Darby's three times and each one left me feeling like I could have made it better at home. Its a great location, right in down town Belfast and has really awesome vibe to it, I really want to like this place but I just cant! The menu is all over the place, a mix of pub... More

We stopped here for lunch while driving from Bar Harbor back to Boston. The restaurant is nice and spacious, three different rooms with plenty of seating, and we had a nice booth. I really enjoyed my crabcake sandwich (so good!) and side salad. My bf was less happy with his BLT and clam chowder, but that was mostly because the... More

My husband and I and another couple ate at Darby's yesterday for lunch. The wait staff is excellent: they are prompt and attentive with drinks, food and bill. We had :the crab melt with sweet potato fries, a salad with shrimp on the side, and 2 beet salads. The beet salads were enormous. The ingredients in the salads were fresh... More

Darby's is our go to "date night" when visiting the in-laws in Belfast, and we visit with our kids too. There is something on the menu for everyone. The pad thai is savory and satisfying and the Haddock is always fresh and prepared in a few interesting ways (I like the pecan haddock). Usually my biggest problem is deciding what... More

Two local friends invited us to their favorite Belfast restaurant where they, decades ago celebrated the purchase of their first home in the area. They have been returning ever since. You can be assured of a very warm welcome in this totally unpretentious establishment with authenticity. Original tin ceilings, a friendly bar, and warm wood booths create an old Belfast... More

Darby's had been recommended, but we were disappointed in the quality of the food. The Buddha bowl was extremely salty and was mostly noodles (little in the way of toppings). Calamari was fair, a litle salty and greasy. Prices seemed high. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they were harder to find once things got busy.

We stopped there from the Bangor airport on our way to Camden and was very disappointed. The food was not high quality and the service was poor. To many other places to eat.
