Everyone (of all ages) in this restaurant looked like he or she was enjoying the meal--and once it came, we found our meal delicious. It had been prepared carefully to maximize the flavors--teriyaki burger, for example, had the sauce throughout the meat, not just slapped on. And the sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had!

This place was recommended by some people and the reviews were pretty good, which sums up our experience. What should be added to "pretty good" is pretty pricey for what you get. Service was good, but jeepers creepers what is happening to meal and room pricing on mid-coast Maine?!

My wife and I tried Darby's for lunch. The service was very good. We both ordered the fish and chips. This is a favorite of ours and we order it often. This was one of the best fish and chips meals we have had. The fish was perfectly cooked haddock. The fries were good and served with malted vinegar. The... More

We were there the evening of the end of Celtic Festival. The staff must have been exhausted, but holding up well. Don't know if prices had increased for the Festival, but food prices were higher than in Portland, for example. The food was fine (what can go wrong with a lobster roll?). The seating in our booth looked like cut-down... More

Darby's is our favorite Belfast restaurant. Love their pad Thai, crab rolls, hand cut fries, clam chowder and Caesar salad with lobster on top. Very old and authentic location, my mother came here as a girl.

An absolutely yummy lobster roll - and I was on a lobster roll roll! Charming atmosphere, great service and - again - one of the best lobster rolls I had on the Maine coastline.

While shopping in downtown Belfast my daughter jumped on her phone and after finding good reviews for this place, we ate lunch here. On a Saturday around noon it was pretty empty, but the place looked nice and had a cool vibe to it so we went in. The service was good with several staff checking on us throughout the... More

A large menu has something for everyone. The crab cake sandwich on a bun was very good. The children liked the chicken hot-wings as well as a hamburger. Helpful and patient service. Would return.

Thursday night in a small town is usually not busy, but Darby s was packed with patrons, a good sign a place is good. We enjoyed simple fare and dessert, but they were done with flair and we were stuffed by the time the evening was over.

Just got back from a 3 day getaway to Belfast. We ate 2 of the 3 nights at Darby's. Saturday night we had GREAT prime rib...cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. Tried Josh's strawberry rhubarb pie and was thrilled. The pie was nice and tart, not overly sweetened....just the way I like it. Service was right on both nights. Hubby says... More
