Started going here years ago. It is very informal, so informal, we bring our own picnic basket of items to make the experience more enjoyable! This is a true lobster pound! Translation for tourists: Lobstermen bring their freshly caught lobster, clams, etc. directly to this establishment and you can literally pick out your lobster (if you wish) and they will... More

There is no more wonderful way to end a delightful summer day than sitting at ocean's edge eating a lobster dinner at Young's. If you prefer clams or mussels, there are no fresher or cleaner ones around. The service is always friendly, too.

Food is good. Staff friendly. I feel as though it may be a little pricey. However I may be wrong. It is a good experience though.

This is the place to come for fresh just out of the water ....lobster, steamers and corn on the cob. It is also the place to byob/salads/deserts etc. Get there for sunset and you will be well rewarded for the effort.

Our boys wanted to try lobster for the first time and Young's made it a most memorable meal! We picked our own lobster had it cooked brought our own wine and had a fantastic time...it was rustic charming and eating at sunset on a gorgeous warm evening was unforgettable!

On the dock overlooking the beautiful Belfast Bay with a view of the charming little village on the far side of the water, you sit at a rustic table and enjoy the freshest and most delicious lobster imaginable. We do bring the table cloth, the wine, and really do it up when we go.

They always are a great value. The folks that work there will often make recommendations. We do take out and bring back to our hotel room and they give you everything you need. EVERYONE should go to Young's at least once!!

If you want fresh lobster, this is it. If you are looking for a romantic restaurant, it is not. You will need to BYOB and definitely come as you are.

For atmosphere (think Old Man of the Sea rustic) and freshness/quality, Young's is unbeatable. Nothing flash – it's an old weatherboard shed – but the lobster is superb, as is the view from the back deck on a fine day. Have been here twice in 10 years and loved it both times. Highly recommended as a no-frills dining experience, but... More

But the freshest lobster you can get! It's basically a shack by the sea where the lobsters etc are landed and kept in tanks. It (they) are then pulled out and steamed, you collect your plateful on a plastic tray and take it to trestle tables upstairs. Absolutely no frills and absolutely great value.
