Great View Good Food

Outside tables to sit at with a great view. Inside dinning if needed. They don't serve alcohol but I saw many people bringing a table cloth and a bottle of wine

Real Maine atmosphere, absolutely fresh lobster, and great view of the harbor. But the menu for those who avoid seafood is minuscule--have a hot dog, take it or leave it! Also, if you are not familiar with their Spartan service, you may find yourself with a shell that is only half-cracked, or a bottle without an opener.

Great option to pick up a cooked lobster and take it home or on a picnic. Good selection of sizes and both soft and hard shells. Ask them to crack them for you before you leave!

The lobsters were the best, my youngest child hated lobster before and now love it. The staff was nice. The lobsters couldn't be fresher ! Because we went there at dinner,we could admire the sunset while eating.... Definitely coming back next year ! <3

Young's is a highly rustic, BYOB, spot to gorge on Maine Lobster. They serve other items but the lobster is king here. Wait inside amongst the tanks, pick out your dinner, find a table along the harbor outside or inside if weather is poor, and wait for your number. You will find people bringing wine glasses, tablecloths and whatever they... More

Worst lobster experience in all of my travels. The gentleman taking the order tried to put my order for mussels in twice, yet some jerk in the back wouldn't allow him to place the order unless I ordered the 50+ $ bucket list! Thank goodness we didn't - my husbands twin lobster dinner was EXTREMELY over cooked.

Our new friends at Maine DaySail recommended Young's to us as the authentic way to experience lobster in Belfast. We were not disappointed. It is authentic and there are no fancy details. Pick your lobster, have it cooked, eat it. There's no "civilized" way to eat lobster, so why try to "civilize" it!!

Young's Lobster Pound is the real thing -- the freshest lobster; unbelievably good clams and oysters; and mussels that are better than I've had anywhere, including Nova Scotia. They don't serve much else (a couple of sides like corn on the cob), so you'll want to bring sides, salads, alcoholic beverages ... unless you're happy with just the freshest seafood... More

This is a real Maine experience. Open tanks with freshly caught lobsters, friendly service, tasty food. I was disappointed that the lobster roll was served on a burger bun and not the traditional long roll. The corn was tough. The view, however, is awesome.

Youngs Lobster Pound is a great place for fabulously fresh seafood to go with all of your picnic sides. You can bring as fancy or casual as you like. Table cloth or paper roll, napkins or paper towels, candles, butter warmers, pasta salad, beer, wine, two people or 12, whatever you like, you won't go away hungry. Clams, shrimp, mussels,... More
