This place has a lot going for it: delicious lobster, kept fresh in multiple saltwater tanks; wonderful location, right on the water with a view of the harbor; a crowd of regulars chowing down on Young's lobster and their own sides; great prices and no-nonsense service. Our experience ended abruptly, however, after sunset when the mosquitos swarmed. Halfway through the... More

First off, you have the view at the waterfront. The service was wonderful, great selection on the menu. I had the sampler so you taste the best of the best. It was a great experience, would recommend to anyone going to Belfast or Searsport to drop in for sure.

Sweet, succulent, hot and dipped in butter, no other way to eat 'em. The best lobster ever. Service is great, tables inside and out, right on the harbor. Beautiful place to sit and relax and eat.

I have been going to Young's for years after being introduced by my in-laws in 2002. Every time I go my Jamaican brethren 'dem big me up'. I love the service and the lobster there is on point. People who know the best Maine Lobster in Belfast insist on it at Young's. I have had lobster shipped back to NJ... More

This was a new stop for us. There is more seating then usual and it is especially nice there is indoor and outdoor seating. Easy to figure out where to go and how to order and prices were lower then the other pounds we came across. They do a huge volume of takeout /shipping as well. Since all they are... More

First if all, can we all agree to ditch the styrofoam??? That's just so unappetizing. Good food, great view, little pricey but what do you expect when you're eating right on the water? Confusing ordering system for first timers and not much help from staff making you feel easy about the system.

You'll be better off going south to get your lobster! The prices are way too expensive and it's not exactly odor free.

Extremely fresh seafood and a unique dining experience. Enter the Lobster Pound through the big barn like door in the front and order at the counter. There is inside dining in the upstairs for rainy days and outside picnic tables to enjoy better weather. Right across the river from Belfast harbor so you can enjoy the boats and scenic views... skip the dinners and instead just pick out a lobster and pay the per pound price and have them boil it for you. nice view on the harbor looking back at the town/city of Belfast.

This is the best lobster we have ever had. We have tried other Lobster Pounds, but this one is the best and we stop by here even if driving north to Bangor, Maine. It is well worth the stop! Of course, the venue is very basic, large picnic tables and benches. Dogs are allowed in the outside area but not... More
