This was an experience that we learned from. We didn't know much about lobster. The waitress threw out prices (I.e.$16.00/1#,etc). She said we could share and much to our surprise our bill was $82.00.for a shared lobster with 2 salads and drinks. We could each have gotten a meal for that price. We weren't they only ones in the room... More

The atmosphere is small but very eclectic. Mismatched chairs, plates etc, but charming. The food was really good, the Haddock sandwich for $8 was really good although the menu is very limited. They bring a chalkboard around so you can see the choices and give you an appetizer menu. They have several brews on tap and your mixed as well.... More

We had dinner here on the recommendation of a number of locals who would choose Papa J's as their preferred place to go for better than usual dining. The location has great water views and a funky decor. We sat beside the fireplace where drippings from years of candles draped the mantle and was complete with a skull candle (if... More

This restaurant has fabulous food and the waitstaff is very pleasant. We had the bacon wrapped filet and it was incredible! Perfect seasoning, cooked exactly as ordered, and tasted great. We live over an hour away and it was WELL worth the drive. We will definitely be returning again!

This is a very good place to eat. Food was excellent and service was wonderful. We were staying next door at Colonial Gables and it was an easy wlk to dinner.

The reviews on Trip Advisor lured my in, and the food was excellent, but our waitress was less than knowledgeable about what she was serving and absent minded to boot. Don't let my comments about our waitress deter you. The other servers seemed fine and the food was really good. Try the lobster stew!

I have stopped here a few times, and always enjoy my meal. My girlfriend and I really enjoy coming here for a good glass of wine and some delicious food. Last time we stopped, my girlfriend got the scallops, which she loved. I am not a seafood fan, however the chicken dish with mashed potatoes and a lemon caper sauce... More

I had dinner with my husband last night after reading the reviews here on trip advisor. I had the lobster stew and the lobster dinner. The stew was bland and the lobster was rubbery. My lobster dinner wasn't much better. The lobster was over cooked. The corn was ok, but the French fries were good. I must have missed what... More

We were staying next door at Colonial Gables, and on our 1st night, went next door to Papa J's. The food was amazing - I had the Portugese steak, one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The staff was friendly, and the owner/chef came out to chat with us, and informed us that the mussels... More
