My wife and I stayed in Bath for an overnight, and visited this place for dinner. It's a bistro that specializes in local flavors, and didn't disappoint. We had a wonderful dinner, with a good wine selection and wonderful service. My wife had some wonderful scallops, and I had a filet. It was cooked perfectly, though I would have liked... More

Driving to Damariscotta on Monday night, missed our exit and ended up in downtown Bath. Happened on Solo Bistro and I am so glad we did. The menu is interesting and the food is thoughtfully prepared. Service is good. The restaurant is a little noisy but we could have requested a more quiet table. Nice wine list, too!

We liked this place so much, we ate here twice. Food is well-planned and executed, good wine list, great coffee! I recommend the crab cakes and the lobster roll - their evening prix fixe was a welcome surprise.

According to our B&B hostess and every one our fellow B&B guests, for we had all eaten at Solo unbeknownst to each other, Solo is the best restaurant in Bath. I would agree but you have to know that there are not many restaurants in Bath and most look pretty mediocre though not having dined at them, who knows. The... More

Creative, attractive, delicious. Our first dinner began with perfect oysters, full of flavor in a mignonette of watermelon and pink peppercorns. We shared the swordfish, just right, with accompaniments that complemented the fish. Good wine list--a viognier to start and then an excellent Talmard Chardonnay. A second dinner just as fine: terrific mussels in a scented, creamy-Asian sauce, then a... More

My husband and I found this restaurant listed in a Maine "explorer's" guide book and decided to give it a shot -- and we went back again three days later! We were fortunate to get one of their two tables outside which made the whole experience even better - people walking by would stop and chat and people leaving the... More

Trendy, fresh and quaint. Space is very small both upstairs and down but excellent quality tasty "tidbits" for your palate. Wonderful for a date night for two. Excellent wine list and a must try when in Bath. A bit pricey.

Solo bistro is a welcome restaurant for those tired of fried fish and lobster. Many local ingredients are used and the chef has his original twist on dishes. On Wednesday nights he has a 3 course meal special that is priced low and always interesting. From their regular menu, I love the scallops and Salmon and my husband loves their... More

Sunday of Labor Day weekend was a busy time for this place, but they handled it with aplomb and they have been doing this for years. The four of us had wonderful dinners - grilled lamb chops, cod, swordfish & mussels. The kitchen knows what they are doing and there was a certain sparkle to the service.
