My favorite go to bistro. Scandavian setting, great wine choices, and a hard to choose from menu. My favorite is the hanger steak, don't miss it. Best hamburger in the area best restaurant in the MidCoast.

We had a 2 day visit in Bath and both nights we ate here as our first experience was so good. The waitresses were friendly, service was good and the food was super. Some of our favorites where the grill octopus, wild mushroom tart and Boston jerk pork belly for appetizers and Caponata, Grilled lamb chops, pan seared scallops and... More

On the advice of various FaceBook friends, we had dinner at Solo Bistro. My wife had the Bistro Steak & Frites which was a perfectly prepared hanger steak with hand cut fries. I opted for the lobster special; Lobster with sweet pea risotto with bacon dust, almonds and a roasted corn salsa. It was a mélange of flavors and made... More

I have gone to Solo Bistro a number of times over the years and it has never lived up to its hype. We tried again last night. My wife and I selected the Bistro Steak and Frites. After ordering, the waitress brought us some bread and a cheese spread. The cheese spread was very good, but the bread was dry... More

We returned to Solo Bistro in Bath for the third time last evening. After an early scare that our reservation might be bumped due to a problem with heating oil in the adjacent building, we were called and reassured by the maitre d that all was fine and they looked forward to our return. We had a great time sampling... More

The atmosphere at Solo Bistro is warm and comfortable with brick walls on two sides, and soft lighting. Our tip would be to make a reservation and ask for one of the 4 tables in the front window as they are the most "out of the way" and so the quietest. The other tables are not too close together, we... More

This restaurant is one of the best in the area, and has become our place of choice. We have frequently dined here and have never been disappointed. Particularly inviting is the very reasonable prix-fixe 3-course dinner on Wednesday nights which is always an inventive and delicious menu; the chef puts together an inviting mix of ingredients and manages to create... Nice locally sourced restaurant with a very diverse and adventuresome menu. This was our first visit and it did not disappoint. The place is good for a larger group or an intimate meal with multiple seating areas and a downstairs wine bar/dining area. If you want intimate, ask to be seated downstairs.

Not knowing what to expect, we ventured into this upscale restaurant on a Saturday noon. My first recommendation is to read the menu before entering, it is limited, and mostly brunch fare. The only two real luncheon choices were a hamburger and a fish burger, each with fries. There were eggs benedict, and other egg choices as well. My husband... More
