Nice meal by the river.

Good sandwiches and brew. Sat by the river on a beautiful night. Easy walking distinct from some hotels and historic Bath.

We stopped at the Kennebec Tavern for an early dinner and a cocktail and the view. We split the special which was seafood angel hair with a delicious lemon garlic sauce. It was a very generous portion with lots of fresh local shrimp, scallops and fish. Our initial greeting was a little lackluster as I felt they weren't sure who... More

Good service, good food, and tolerable prices. The tavern is not historic or atmospheric, but would be considered high quality by any standard. The view of the river, bridge and boats is one high point - go for the view if you are in Bath.

The server just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I ordered the clams and they were mushy. I could barely choke them down. I also ordered the Panzanella salad and it was just ok. Their location is great. Right on the water.

Driving south on busy Route One found us on the bridge over the Kennebec. "Lunchtime" directed the car so we stopped at the Kennebec Tavern (previous experience). A budget price fish and chips seemed the logical choice for this splendid Friday. We were correct Excellent fish, ample quantity, even the fries were tasty. Our Cole Slaw was flavorful and fresh.... It's right across the road from my hotel, the Hampton Inn, and is located right on the water! Being the first day in Maine after 30 years, I had only one thing on my mind for dinner - Lobster - so I ordered the shore dinner. The clam chowder had wonderful flavor and was chock full of clams! And the... More

We enjoyed dinner early on a Saturday evening and were happy to be seated adjacent to the water. Service was a bit slow. The food was decent - but we had been looking for a more romantic spot to celebrate our anniversary, so we were a bit disappointed that we were unable to secure a table at a more intimate... More

We stopped in for dinner and enjoyed a beautiful summer evening at the edge of the Kennebec River. Service was okay and food was quite good.

We have been dining here for 15 years, We usually sit at the bar but the bartenders have changed and we now go to the dining room. A view to die for. Good beers and wines at a reasonable price, Try the Canaletto Pinot Grigio...We usually have the same thing..I have the fried scallops (best ever) and Angela the broiled... More
