Nice view of the river but the food was terrible. The crab cakes were falling apart and they were mushy. The steamers were too big and under cooked. When in Bath Me, eat someplace else.

Service is slow, food is awful, prices are high. Beware scallops are always undercooked. Do yourself a favor, save you money and try one to the area’s exceptional alternatives Beale Street BBQ and Mae’s Café are awesome.

We had less than a 5 minute wait to get seated in the patio area at this popular restaurant. We had eaten there once before several years ago and felt it would be worth a repeat. Our meal was served very quickly, the wait staff was very attentive and we had glorious weather to make the day perfect. I really... More

We came here for the lobster but we were a little disappointed in the atmosphere. The name Tavern gave us an image of a cozy inn. It wasn't cozy at all. It is bright with little personality. Would be a better spot for lunch. The lobster was good, cole slaw was boring. We peaked our head next door and the... More

We have dined here before. Bath is a great borough, friendly folks, friendly shopping, great scenery, lucky to have returned. Kennebec Tavern has a splendid location. We sat abeam the river for lunch. My wife had a tasty clam chowder, needed a little more clam but still good. Her scallop po boy was outstanding. This writer enjoyed a haddock sandwich,... More

The deck area is roomy, so lots of seating and very pleasant. Our service was quite slow, but the food was good and fresh. Had Lobster stew, fried clams (were huge), and haddock.

The riverside dining experience is lovely. We were there for dinner; but it was warm, so I went with a turkey club sandwich with sweet potato fries, and an amazing chocolate cake for dessert. The waitperson was very accommodating and kind.

There was absolutey no seasoning it was very bland and looked as if it had just been thrown ob the plate. My husband had the seafood platter it was... More

A local pointed us to this jewel of a seafood place. Incredible view, awesome staff. We had lobster 3 ways, and a big seafood platter. The fried scallops were BIG and fresh. Just the kind of place we love to find. Better come hungry!

Driving from mid-coast to Boston, we stopped in Bath to wander the historic port and streets. We found lunch at the Kennebec on the Kennebec River and enjoyed the sun and cool breeze. You can't beat the location. The lobster roll was great; the fried oyster roll a bit underdone. Good choice. Enjoy Bath and the Kennebec!
