Good Dinner Just Steps Away from the Hampton Inn

Folks at the Hampton recommended this as close by and good. They didn't miss the mark. I had roasted scallops and asparagus and my wife the haddock. Service was good (even though we had heard it sometimes is a bit slow), staff was helpful. It's right on the river and we would certainly visit... read more

We purchased gas for our boat from this restaurant/marina and my elderly mother was not allowed to board our boat. We were told to go to the public spot to pick her up.

We were recommended to this restaurant and weren't disappointed. I had the Shore Dinner and it was absolutely FAB! Service was friendly and prompt and I thought great value. My friends who're in the process of moving to Maine will definitely be back... also took the opportunity to walk through the little park 2 mins from the restaurant which was... More

Stopped for lunch . service was a little slow but it was ok because we enjoyed watching fishing boats come and go. Might be cold after Sept. but we caught great weather. Would liked to have tried other places but not much in Bath to see or do. We don't regret picking this one. After lunch we went onto bridge... More

We decided to come to Bath last minute to stay at the Hampton. The suggestion by Mike to go across the street was a good one. Quick service, great attitudes and a tasty meal we enjoyed. We will be back !!!!!!!

I had the seafood pot pie and it was delicious. The mussels appetizer was divine, as was the parsnip one. Everyone was happy with their food.

My wife & I stopped for lunch, we had a booth overlooking the water. The server was nice, asked her opinions on choices & she gave us her input. I had a Reuben, my wife had a Pan Blackened Haddock Sandwich, both where very good. Good selection of beer on tap & a full bar. We'd go back, sometimes simplicity... More

Kennebec Tavern is a waterfront restaurant in Bath ME featuring a typical Maine menu. (See other TA reviews.) It features good food, good service, and decent prices, but nothing much more to write home about. The lunch and sandwich menu had some unique choices such as the Haddock Ruben and the Scallop Po’Boy. There are good sized portions and, you’ll... More

Had the fried Haddock sandwich which was excellent as were the accompanying French fries. Will definitely return. I can imagine how nice it would be on a warm summer day on their outdoor deck, directly on the Kennebec River, especially as you are likely to see huge sturgeon jumping in the air!

To split the salad we ordered and put it on two separate plates. But our lovely ( and frustrated) waitperson said the kitchen wouldn't do it. So we got the extra empty plate and then tried to divide it equitably. Yes. It's a small thing but it's that attention to detail that separates the average eatery from the very good.... More
