Had a Birthday party at this restaurant, everyone was very helpful and efficient, the food was excellent, the service superior. They have a new chef, so if you went before and were not impressed, it is time to go back and experience the quality with this chef.

we stopped here for lunch on the way to rockland maine. the menue is mostly seafood but there is one duck dish that is duck over fries in a wonderful cream sauce. do not miss this dish. i had it over sweet potato fries, lots of them. lots of duck. great service. the dish was suggested by the server.

The atmosphere is good but the food was not so great. I had the fish stuffed in seafood and a beer but the food left a lot to be desired no taste at all. Lauren the bar tender was nice but that's about it.

Strolled along here after leaving Byrnes Irish Bar as I still had more than a couple of hours before my wife picked me up. Had some lovely crab cakes as I was hungry again by the time I got here and having expended all that energy I thought I deserved something in way of a reward. Of course I had... More

You'll have to wait until it warms up again but the view from the deck is great. We started off with steamers-they were perfect and not a bad price. The broiled haddock sandwich was so tasty and the blueberries were in season so a blueberry salad had to be ordered. We enjoyed the view from the deck. We didn't go... More

Great food and beautiful setting and friendly staff. Took awhile to get seated but it was worth the wait. Do not go here if you are pressed for time, though.

We had just arrived in the area for a week's vacation and chose here so we could sit outside and enjoy the river views. Just soup and a sandwich, which was well made and enjoyable.

Bar was great, bartender was great, food was wonderful. Pumpkinhead ale with Caramel-brownsugar-cinnamon rim was great. Downside was minimal: Little pricy on beer. Bar area was very hot and no way to regulate temperature.

We visited on a Wednesday evening after hearing good things about this place but were overall disappointed. I had to send the first glass of wine back as it was stale, setting the tone for the rest of the dining experience. The clam chowder was very good, but the salmon entree with (what?) ravioli? was very tasteless and an odd... More

We were on our way to Bar Harbor via route 1 from Portland and got off the road in Bath to find someplace to eat. After parking the car we went down to the river to find someplace to eat and this Tavern was exactly what we were looking for. They have a large seating area under tents and umbrellas... More
