Nice tavern

My husband and I ate there two times. The first time we just stopped in for a drink and an appetizer. Very good so the next evening we had dinner there. It was a again very good. It wasn't fancy but just good food. The view was nice and we enjoyed the casual atmosphere.

We really enjoyed lunch today. Great weather allowed us to eat outdoors. Owner was great and allowed us to sit at the edge of the deck because we had our Standard Poodle. They gave him ice cold water. The mussels were plump and so delicious. Onion rings were excellent. I had the blueberry salad with shrimp. Drinks were large and... More

One of the nicer restaurants in the town of Bath, conveniently across from the Hampton Inn if you are coming from out of town. When the weather is nice, they have a great view of the Kennebec River with tables and a bar outside.

Great place to stop for a light lunch. The Caesar salad with lobster and fried scallops is highly recommended. He had fried halibut which was good. The onion rings were so good we ordered another helping. They served a great Bloody Mary! Service was a little slow at first but the food was served soon after ordered.

I got the calamari dinner. If this was the first time I'd ever had calamari, I'd never get it again. It was lukewarm and had no flavor. Bland is an overstatement. The French fries were very well seasoned, but even less warm than the bland calamari. Then there was the coleslaw. The first bite was so bitter, I couldn't eat... More

This is a local spot, right on the Kennebec River. Got a huge patio, so sit outside when the weather is good and have yourself a gorgeous, 1 1/4-pound Maine lobster. Food is great, and we found the service to be excellent. And it's a spot for both locals and tourists (though there aren't that many tourists in Bath, which... More

We had a reservation but it was chaos when we walked in the door. A crowd of people had gathered and the hostess could only deal with whomever was at the front of the line. We waited for ~15 minutes before we could be seated for our reservation. Once seated, we had great service, a great view of the water... More

We stopped there for a beer and to sit and relax after spending a great day at the Maine Maritime Museum. A beautiful view of the Kennebec River. Very clean and pleasant. We had our beers and also ordered their Smoked Salmon Poulane (made with smoked salmon, Feta, capers, sweet potato fries and covered with a marvelous balsamic-vinegar glaze)! A... More

The seemingly delicious lobster rolls were prepared with mayonnaise instead of the usual butter. However, my wife's lobster meat seemed infused with water as if it had been frozen. The next morning, both of us had diarrhea prior to our respective plane flights. My intestinal upset lasted for the day but my wife has had it for 5 days now.... More
