The deck area is roomy, so lots of seating and very pleasant. Our service was quite slow, but the food was good and fresh. Had Lobster stew, fried clams (were huge), and haddock.

The riverside dining experience is lovely. We were there for dinner; but it was warm, so I went with a turkey club sandwich with sweet potato fries, and an amazing chocolate cake for dessert. The waitperson was very accommodating and kind.

A local pointed us to this jewel of a seafood place. Incredible view, awesome staff. We had lobster 3 ways, and a big seafood platter. The fried scallops were BIG and fresh. Just the kind of place we love to find. Better come hungry!

Driving from mid-coast to Boston, we stopped in Bath to wander the historic port and streets. We found lunch at the Kennebec on the Kennebec River and enjoyed the sun and cool breeze. You can't beat the location. The lobster roll was great; the fried oyster roll a bit underdone. Good choice. Enjoy Bath and the Kennebec!

This is a lovely setting in summer you can sit outside over looking the kennebec. The food is good not great. I have been here in the summer and the winter and the summer is much more lively. The waitstaff look as though they are having a good time. It is a nice place to relax and enjoy the sun.

We were in town for the first time for the commission of Zumwalt and walk in to town to find a place to eat. Decided on the Kennebec! So glad we did. We sat at the bar and order a drink and they made us feel like family! The conversations we great but so was the food. Please try the... More

I am a pick when it comes to crab cakes. These were very well prepared, moist, and well seasoned. I almost never like crab cakes with bell pepper, as crab meat is so easily overpowered by it. This is the first time I have had a crab cake where it complemented the flavor. Kudos to the Kennebec Tavern! We also... More

It's a good place for well-prepared seafood. The service is good. I love the chocolate flourless torte.

This was a wonderful surprise gem!! It sit upon the Kennebec River so during the day the view would be spectacular. We were there for dinner and Michelle, our waitress was one of the best who I ever had the pleasure to be served by. She knew all about the dishes on the menu as well as questions regarding how...
