Excellent Breakfast

Fresh sticky buns and coffee cakes and muffins. A step above the usual breakfast. Homemade CB hash. Nice Atmosphere. Eat in or out. Very reliable.

When Kristina Van Reenan opened Kristina's at this location in 1978; it became a regional hit with her opulent desserts, her renown quiche, and time tested 'Classic' recipes from estates, yachts, and resorts. It was sold in the 90's and one of her staff managed it, providing continuity. One thing you learn in the food business is to never, ever... More

Mae's has a great menu, the bakery counter needs to be on every tourist's at least look at and visit list. Bounding down for a Saturday morning BRC, our party of three dined on excellent food. My wife had an omelet, sister in law a pancake concoction that I am going to order next time, this write had an eggs... More

I knew Mae's when it used to be Christina's. It's an improvement. Mostly a breakfast and sandwich shop. They don't have a frier, so french fries or battered entrees. I had the tarragon chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. Good sandwich - and a a reasonable price. My wife had a crab salad sandwich. Tasty but a bit pricey at... More

My husband and I went for lunch. I had their wonderful chicken salad with grapes and walnuts served on a homemade croissant. My husband had an omelet and their homemade cinnamon bread. The dining room is airy and the staff is very attentive. The bakery in the entry way is full of scrumptious fare. We happened to taste the chocolate... More

We've had breakfast here a half dozen times in the last few months. The dining room is open, bright and cozy with an abundance of natural light. Very cheery!!

Mae's is a super cute cafe located in downtown Bath. We went for Memorial Day weekend and I was expected a crowd but was pleasantly surprised to be seated quickly. There was some construction so parking was a little bit of a mess. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Service could have been better but it was a... More

We visited here last year and again this year. It is what I would call an upscale breakfast place---there was a baby shower going on upstairs on the Sunday morning we were there. Inside and outside dining. One member of our group said it reminded him of a tea room---and he is correct. Wait staff were friendly and food was very... More

A friend read on MSN a list of the best pancakes in all 50 states. It said Mae's in Bath were the best in Maine. So we set out for breakfast this morning. We ordered the Italian Roast Coffee which I found to be weak in flavor. We got the Plain Pancakes and the Blueberry Pancakes. Honestly I thought they... More
