Cute Cafe

Mae's is a super cute cafe located in downtown Bath. We went for Memorial Day weekend and I was expected a crowd but was pleasantly surprised to be seated quickly. There was some construction so parking was a little bit of a mess. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Service could... read more

We visited here last year and again this year. It is what I would call an upscale breakfast place---there was a baby shower going on upstairs on the Sunday morning we were there. Inside and outside dining. One member of our group said it reminded him of a tea room---and he is correct. Wait staff were friendly and food was very... More

A friend read on MSN a list of the best pancakes in all 50 states. It said Mae's in Bath were the best in Maine. So we set out for breakfast this morning. We ordered the Italian Roast Coffee which I found to be weak in flavor. We got the Plain Pancakes and the Blueberry Pancakes. Honestly I thought they... More

Our family went to this restaurant for breakfast. There we 5 of us: my husband and I, our daughter and son-in-law, and 19 month-old grandson. My son-in-law had fond memories of going to Mae's with his grandmother. The hostess was more interested in chatting with regulars than with taking care of us. We waited, and waited, and waited for a... More

This restaurant was adorable and smelled amazing. Unfortunately I only had time to stop by and pick up some treats. The sticky buns were spectacular and reasonably priced, but I would love to go back and have a meal.

Loved this place. We had dinner there as part of a private party and went back for breakfast the next day. The omelet was delicious, my kids loved the waffles and pancakes. I haven't seen them eating that much in a long time and they are super picky. Everything is fresh and delicious,

I had never been there, but met a friend for lunch. Why aren't more restaurants like this? Light, airy, bright, huge windows let the light pour in, super clean, happy staff, large selection of pastries at the counter, and one of those huge menus with tons of choices. That can be a a bad sign, but in this case, it's... More

This cafe is hands down the best place I have ever eaten breakfast! They have awesome pecan and cinnamon rolls, raspberry stuffed French toast and Mae's Ruben with bacon, smoked turkey and cheese between homemade French toast with syrup to dip it in! My wife had Brussel sprouts with bacon, which made them pretty tasty ! I would highly recommend... More

Best breakfast in Maine in my opinion. All homemade food with a to-die-for bakery selection. If you can get past the bakery display on the way in you are doing better then me!

I don't think there is anything on the menu that is not outstanding and special. The food is perfect and well presented. The bakery items are to die for!
