We arrived late (8:50pm) to meet with a friend and were told kitchen closes at 9pm. We ordered an onion soup and the Shepard pie. Both were very good but the Guinness bread was awesome. I only got to try a bite cold because the piece that came with the pie ( hot and grilled) was devoured by my... read more

What a fun place! We stopped by for lunch on a Thursday afternoon on a ride up the Maine coast. What a pleasant surprise. This place is the real deal. It has everything you’d want in an Irish pub atmosphere. The menu had plenty of choices and was very modestly priced. All the popular Irish ales and beers were on... More

My go to sandwich is always the Ruben. Byrnes has the best Ruben of any I've ever had. They have set the standard for me and so many Ruben sandwiches have been compared to this delicious winner. Just what you want a Ruben to be, lean tender flavorful corned beef, a tangy generous amount of sauerkraut, soft delicious rye bread... More

Reasonably priced and I've never had a bad meal. Even though it's "pub" food it's well made and does not come frozen in a bag. They do a good job at balancing the bar atmosphere without sacrificing the restaurant aspect. Many of the meals are very authentic Irish meals. Having been to Ireland I can say they hit the mark.

Stopped in while sightseeing as it was toted as an irish bar...and it is. The food was fantastic, best shepards pie I ever had. The drinks were fantastic, poured the perfect Guinness. Found out they have another one over in Brunswick as well, so we went there the next day. Just as good as the first one. And we happened... More

We dined at Bynes two nights during a 5 day Bath visit. We enjoyed some of the best shepherd's pie we've ever eaten one night and delicious sandwiches and yummy clam chowder the second night. The draft beer selection is terrific and the wait staff attentive and friendly. Highly recommend a stop at Byrnes.

Stopped off in Bath while my wife went visiting Owl's Head Lighthouse (yes again - she likes to go there !!) Glad I did as I thoroughly enjoyed the great atmosphere and craic of this pub. Had Byrnes Irish Pub Beef Chili for lunch but wished I had more room as this menu has some brilliant selections from Maggie's BLT... More

This place was fantastic. The service was very good and the bartender had a perfect poor on the Guiness!! The fish and chips and lobster chowder was the best we've ever had!! The fish was very crunchy and the fries light and crunchy. Great atmosphere where anyone feels welcome!

While in Bath we had about an hour to kill before or dinner reservations. We wandered int Byrnes and grabbed a couple of seats at the bar. within minutes we had a couple of cold ones in front of us (great selection of drafts) and shortly after that we were conversing with staff, locals at the bar and even the owner....
