This is a good local place to go to get out of the chain rut. It is close and convenient to BGR. It is what it appears - primarily seafood with some other choices as well. The food as well as the service were very good. The decor was nautical-themed and had some fun touches (see pics). I did not... More

Everything about our meals was outstanding, from the drinks through dinner entrees. First you are served a homemade parker house type roll that is to die for, with butter. Ordered Caesar salads and the dressing was great with homemade croutons and shaved cheese on top - one the better Caesar salads we've had. The baked stuffed shrimp was the best... More

10/10/14 food and service were very good here. The lobster roll is the best bang for the dollar. The single lobster and the lazy man lobster meals are double the price of that in Bar Harbor 40 miles away

Captain Nick's was mediocre at best and below a Red Lobster. My wife and I got the broiled seafood medley and it was about as bland as it gets. Service was good but the food was not good.

The service was outstanding but my meal was very disappointing. I ordered the Broiled Seafood Medley which according to the menu consisted of shrimp, scallops, lobster claws, and a piece of fish with two side items for $21.99. What I received was one shrimp, maybe five scallops, a skinny half of a lobster tail, a small piece of fish, and... More

Captain Nicks looks a little outdated and could be spruced up a bit. Otherwise, good service and good lobster rolls.

The food was average at best. I had lasagna with sausage and a house salad. The vegetables were wilted and the ranch dressing left a lot to be desired. The lasagna was ok, not over cooked, lots of cheese, meat and sauce, but it didn’t have any spices. The sausage was completely bland. My husband had the tuna melt and... More

I didn't like the feel of the place, dated and dingy. The waitress was very nice. My lobster was fine. But my husband didn't like the Halibut at all. Very disappointing and not a bargain.

My family dined last week at Captain Nicks because reviews gave it very high marks. However, that is not what I would give it. The fried platter was extremely disappointing. When I returned the platter after being disappointed in the taste( shrimp was bland and the size of a penny), the cook came out of the kitchen to confront me... More
