Captain Nick's was mediocre at best and below a Red Lobster. My wife and I got the broiled seafood medley and it was about as bland as it gets. Service was good but the food was not good.

The service was outstanding but my meal was very disappointing. I ordered the Broiled Seafood Medley which according to the menu consisted of shrimp, scallops, lobster claws, and a piece of fish with two side items for $21.99. What I received was one shrimp, maybe five scallops, a skinny half of a lobster tail, a small piece of fish, and... More

Captain Nicks looks a little outdated and could be spruced up a bit. Otherwise, good service and good lobster rolls.

The food was average at best. I had lasagna with sausage and a house salad. The vegetables were wilted and the ranch dressing left a lot to be desired. The lasagna was ok, not over cooked, lots of cheese, meat and sauce, but it didn’t have any spices. The sausage was completely bland. My husband had the tuna melt and... More

I didn't like the feel of the place, dated and dingy. The waitress was very nice. My lobster was fine. But my husband didn't like the Halibut at all. Very disappointing and not a bargain.

My family dined last week at Captain Nicks because reviews gave it very high marks. However, that is not what I would give it. The fried platter was extremely disappointing. When I returned the platter after being disappointed in the taste( shrimp was bland and the size of a penny), the cook came out of the kitchen to confront me... More

Best lobster roll I had in a recent trip on the East coast, in which I tried about seven different rolls in various establishments. Captain Nicks's roll was pure lobster, on a buttery soft roll and with just enough lettuce to enhance the lobster flavour. No other distortions like mayo of tartar sauce, just the pure taste of very fresh... More

We just spent a few days in Maine and had meals in Portland and Bar Harbor. This was definitely the best meal we had on our trip. The broiled platter with lobster claws, haddock and scallops was delicious. The rolls are the best ever, and the service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. This is a definite if you... Service was excellent. We were tired but our waitress was so upbeat and friendly that it perked us up a bit. Food delicious. Haddock chowder has a mound of haddock in the middle, a light meal in itself. Blueberry ale has some floating blueberries. Rolls were delicious and served hot. Not fancy, but good food and service. Just a little... More
