Best lobster roll I had in a recent trip on the East coast, in which I tried about seven different rolls in various establishments. Captain Nicks's roll was pure lobster, on a buttery soft roll and with just enough lettuce to enhance the lobster flavour. No other distortions like mayo of tartar sauce, just the pure taste of very fresh... More

We just spent a few days in Maine and had meals in Portland and Bar Harbor. This was definitely the best meal we had on our trip. The broiled platter with lobster claws, haddock and scallops was delicious. The rolls are the best ever, and the service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. This is a definite if you... Service was excellent. We were tired but our waitress was so upbeat and friendly that it perked us up a bit. Food delicious. Haddock chowder has a mound of haddock in the middle, a light meal in itself. Blueberry ale has some floating blueberries. Rolls were delicious and served hot. Not fancy, but good food and service. Just a little... More

I had not been to this restaurant for probably five years. Back then it was pretty mediocre. My husband, my Dad and I went last night. My Dad had fried sea scallops which he thought were delicious and my husband and I both had a ribeye, medium. The steaks were quite thick with great marbling and they were cooked correctly,... More

If you're looking for great seafood then you must stop in for dinner. Their fish dinners are so delicious and their lobster tastes fresh! Any time I go back to Maine I will have to stop here

I stop in to this place every time I pass through Bangor, that is, twice a year. I love the fresh steamed lobster. it's always a good value, and the older gentleman who serves me is very cheery and makes me feel at home. The place is comfortable and friendly, a nice family atmosphere.

My family and I went to Captain Nicks for dinner on our vacation to Maine. We wanted lobster so we asked the hotel desk to recommend a restaurant and they sent us to Captain Nicks. Everyone was disappointed in the food and the seafood was tough and rubbery and the french fries are just like the frozen ones. Overall we... More

Through the years, we have eaten at Captain Nick's on the day that we arrive in Maine for the start of a 2 week vacation. I look forward to the whole bellied fried clams every year and in the past they have been excellent. This year they were terrible. The clams were tough, mostly strips and not the bellies and... More
