My wife and I have eaten here a couple of times, usually with friends or family because it has ample seating and moderately quick service. I have, on numerous occasions, encountered what I believe to be "less than fresh" menu items and bagels. Just one look into the glass case near the entry and you can't help but ask "How... More

Our first time here in about 3 years. We went in for a breakfast, which isn't your ordinary ham & eggs style. Service was fast & food excellent. Large open, almost cafeteria style, eating area. Seemed like it is a gathering place for the artsy, Democratic, Obama crowd & if one can concentrate on the quality of the bagels, you... More

The line was literally out the door on Sunday morning and I know why: the awesome bagels and the atmosphere. The order taker was friendly and knowledgable. There was a large selection of bagels and creme cheese to choose from and everyone in our group loved their bagel they ordered. I liked that there are community tables as well smaller... More

We eat here at least every two weeks. Everything is made from scratch without preservatives. I like taking home a loaf of marble/rye. Be sure to try their soup of the day.

Came in here because Friars’ Bakehouse next door was pretty full. Both my spouse and I ordered the 33 Central St. (Reuben Sandwich) and enjoyed it. Food was prepared quickly and dining room was clean.

This is going to be short in to the point. If you need a quick breakfast, stops here. There are plenty of bagel options (as their should be), plenty of sandwich options, and the sweets in the case by the counter will cripple your pallet. Stop here and you won't regret it.

I can't say enough good about Bagel Central! Makes me sad to go back home where I can't buy the yummy bagels and exhaustive list of other goodies. Wish I had more time to eat there again this trip. We had Lox,egg, onion bagel so good we had had many years ago on a previous visit. We were so happy to... More

First off. If you are looking for the New York or Montreal bagel experience, then order a bagel whose name includes the word 'water'. Like 'water plain', or 'water sesame'. These are traditional New York style bagels, dense, chewy, crusty. The only thing missing is a guy in a white apron yelling "C'mon. Whaddil-it-be? I don't got all day!" The... More

It was quite enjoyable. You order at the counter, a wide variety to select from, then you pick up on the side. Fresh food, good bread, nice atmosphere.

fine avocado and tomato sandwich but please, find an alternative for styrofoam container! a simple wax paper wrap would do. or a paper bag.
