If you like bagels and cream cheese you will love Bagel Central. Both are the best you can get anywhere. Bagel Central serves the best breakfast in town and there is a large selection to choose from for lunch. The bakery case is so inviting you just cannot resist getting something from it. Regardless of whether you just want to... More

The bagels here are the best you'll find in the Bangor area, which is evidenced by the line that often forms at the counter. It's especially busy on Sunday mornings or at lunch time during the week. It is worth the wait. The in-house cream cheese is yummy and the lox always seems fresh. My only critique is that the... More

If a person just wants to stop for a cup of coffee (or any cup of hot brew), take a break from a humdrum day or even a trying situation, having one of these homemade bagels is such a treat! They are delicious, and there is no skimping on the cream cheese (which is served on the side). Whether for... More

Bagels were tasteless once you got into the middle...i had an onion and there were pieces of onion on top(rolled in?) but none in the bagel. My wife had a raisin one and they were on top not baked in? Nice service thou....

I seldom miss an opportunity to enjoy an onion bagel with a schmeer of scallion cream cheese and a good cup of coffee at Bagel Central!

Don't usually go out for lunch but that might change. Had a Paul Bunyan sandwich made with wonderful rye bread for $6.75 including a small fruit cup. All I could eat but I didn't leave anything. Great value and excellent food.

We rarely sit in, but Bagel Central one of my wife's favorite places. The bagels are always fresh and ready to eat. The facility is clean, and the kitchen is cleaner! (tour with a school group). We freeze extra bagels and they do fine without losing their taste.

Anyone visiting that want a great stop anytime of the day they make a great breakfast with all sorts of amazing pastries and also throughout the day they provide great sandwiches with their homemade breads. We eat there frequently but forget about it when it comes... More

Never experienced a Bagel like this. I am so spoiled for the "normal" bagel now. These are unbelieveable. I don't like the order set up...with the long waits....but for this bagel, I'd wait in the rain. AMAZING. If you are stuck on the Mr. Bagel type bagels, you probably won't like these. If the Mr' bagel types are only okay... More
