Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing and food was delicious. Only drawback lighting could have been better. We were in at dusk and by the time we finished entrees could hardly see. Perhaps candles on tables?

Great service and atmosphere. The food was disappointing. My beef tenderloin was chewy and came with macaroni and cheese. My girlfriend's lamb was really tough and her pickled vegetables were so strong that they took your breath away. I really did enjoy their cucumber lemonade though. Dinner for two was well over one hundred dollars with drinks and desert. I... More

We went on the 26 and 27 of Feb. Went on the 26th per recommendation. Went back on the 27th for drinks and couldn't leave and had dinner again. This was one of the best dinners I had. I called them to find out if they had an opening for dinner. The gentlemen that I spoke to was so nice,... More

My husband and I have been to Fiddleheads before and have always had an excellent meal. Last night was no exception. We made a reservation and were seated at a perfect window table. We've always been treated as honored guests when at Fiddleheads. They care about their food and your experience and the food is excellent. The menu is varied... More

Fussier folks should check out the seasonal menu online ahead of time, but going to the fiddlehead is always the highlight of the season for me! Always call ahead to make a reservation. One of the very few places I usually order a dessert following a meal (if i'm not too full). Salads are always a must as well. Delicious!

Fiddlehead has excellent food, good drinks, and a very nice atmosphere. It is a favorite in Bangor for a fancier-end meal. The owner and staff are very very attentive, which is either nice or a little over-the-top depending on your preference. But overall a great restaurant to visit in Bangor. A reservation is a good idea, as it is a... More

Make reservations as they are usually full. The drinks are first rate and made to order as is the food. You can choose to eat healthily or you can pig out. The menu changes every few months so you won't be getting the same things every time. The service is outstanding and attentive.

The food was good but we were in Bangor to see a show, made an early reservation and explained we were there to see a show at 8. They said they'd be sure we'd be out in time but after 2 hours they finally brought our entrees 15 minutes before the show was to begin so we had to rush.... More

What I will say is if your in town just for one day or night make fiddleheads your choice. There are some good restaurants in Bangor, but if you have just one day than give them a try and you will be back for many more visits. Small but big in Choice of meals!!!! The staff and chefs are fantastic.... More
