No Fiddleheads, but still very good.

We had to overnight in Bangor waiting for our rental house near Acadia NP. We went downtown to Fiddlehead on the recommendation of my seatmate on the plane. He was spot on, other than we just missed the fiddlehead season by days. However, the service was delightful, the old building charming... read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try The Fiddlehead during a recent visit to Bangor based on tripadvisor reviews. We were so happy that we did! First of all, the service is wonderful!! We were asked if it was our first visit as we walked in and were approached by no fewer than four staff people during our meal. The... More

This locally-owned restaurant and bar is my favorite restaurant in Bangor. The seasonally-changing menu offers food that is unique, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Desserts are difficult to resist, and the cocktails are made with fresh juices. Every staff person is extremely knowledgeable of the menu and their enthusiasm for the place and the food is evident. I always call ahead... More

I've eaten twice now at this fantastic little restaurant, and the food, service and ambience is worth the trip. The staff is excellent, the choices are far reaching, and the home made Ice Cream is a delightful way to end the meal. This is a must visit in Bangor!

Fiddlehead is one of my favorite downtown Bangor eateries. Featuring a reasonably varied menu, this restaurant offers nice wines, good service, and a wonderful eating experience right in Downtown Bangor. The staff was very welcoming when I brought my 10 year old to eat with me, and the environment offers a nice view of the courthouse and wonderful interior appointments... More

Cool staff, creative locally sourced food, and great martinis! Had the lamb kabobs, and Chicken & Dumplings. Not your typical Chicken & Dumplings (Lots more chicken, less gravy and dumplings, but still very tasty! My only suggestion would be to add more wines to the list, but otherwise, everything was deliciously fun!

We have taken eaten at the Fiddlehead for both business and pleasure and they have never let us down. The food is excellent, the staff is amazing and the intimate atmosphere is fantastic. If you're in Bangor and looking for a great meal, a solid wine list and little local flair, this is definitely the place to go.

My wife and I dined at Fiddlehead recently and had one of the best meals and evenings we have had at a restaurant in Bangor (we've lived here for over 20 years). Laura was so welcoming and helpful, the atmosphere is great and David our server was extremely professional. We each tried different salads to start - both were fresh... More

This place prides themselves on local fresh food with a changing menu to match the seasons. Small and quaint. You can take your time and the owner visits your table personally. it was wonderful.
