The food was average but the prices certainly were not.

Two of us ordered the sauteed lobster, which is basically lobster that has been taken out of the shell for you and served in a dish. It was served with two sides, I had coleslaw and corn, my friend had coleslaw and fries. Having eaten seafood every day in a restaurant for over a week, and in some... read more

The only thing that Cooks has to offer is Location. Right on the water, with beautiful scenery. As far as the food and service is concerned, it has gone from top shelf food and service, 20 plus years ago to a tourist trap with poor food and service. Bus tours stop there, so they have a captive audience. Lobster rolls... More

you enjoy waiting an hour--at lunch time-- for your food after the order is taken; you like undercooked French fries and overcooked fried clams; you appreciate a hostess who looks resentful when asked to provide a spot for a 92 year old to sit down while awaiting a table; you love indifferent service from wait staff; and you would never... Was disappointed in our meal tonight. I ordered the seafood tacos with seared shrimp. The shrimp were cold and seemed to have been just thawed out , no searing noted. We all had chowder and soup to start but the waitress said they ran out of crackers. My daughter ordered a root beer, but they ran out of that as... More

We had an outstanding meal by piecing together our favorite foods, and we had a great waiter. The view from the restaurant were also lovely, and there was plenty of parking available.

Falling through the cracks, cooks continues to offer the same foods - year after year - with no signs of improvement, change or variation. An environment, staff, and food uplift could give this New England classic the reboot it needs to compete with other local landmarks. Drinks and bar service on point - especially this season with fresh help! Rooting... More

Cook's has a perfectly beautiful view and the staff is rather well trained. However, the prices are so far out of the realistic range, (considering you can get comparable fare locally) and the preparation is average at best.

Not what it used to be. Prices are very high and portions are small. Then ran out of fried clams!! My broiled scallops were overdone and like rubber. Used to be a favorite, but now won't return. Two bad meals in row.

What a great location for a perfect dinner. Seafood, especially the lobster was prepared well. Dessert was fantastic, especially the blueberry pie. Can't beat this location and picturesque scenery. And they now take American Express cards on Baileys Island.

Had the Oysters. There were only 6 people seated in restaurant for lunch. The one good thing was I saw the boat come in to deliver the lobsters, so that must be fresh
