We always walk over the Cribstone Brigde to the Giant Stairs for breakfast. Breakfast is affordable and delish! Very down home and nice atmosphere. Dinner is a little expensive, but on the islands things just cost more.

You can really tell if a place is good by the number of locals who frequent it. This is that kind of place. Although many vacationers discover it and keep coming back, too. If you didn't save room take the raspberry or blueberry pie to go. I rent cottages in the area and send all my visitors to the Giant Stairs to eat great food with the locals. Reasonably priced, BYOB (the store next door will sell you what you need), super friendly people, tasty cooking, zero attitude, what more do you need? We ate here repeatedly during our four night stay in Harpswell, which is a high compliment from us.
