The Giant Staircase is a natural wonder an easy walk along the shore of the bay, with magnificent views out to the open ocean and across to Small Point and Phippsburg. Parking can be difficult, but it is well worth the effort.

Great meals and friendly folks. We had a number of dinner meals and lunch while on Bailey island. Always enjoyed the food and when we asked if the lobster was fresh (jokingly as we knew it had to be) the waitress replied "Yes... my father caught it this morning!!" Say no more!!!

We've been to the Giant Stairs Cafe many times - both in its old iteration and the new, which is larger and updated, yet still cozy. The seafood selections continue to be first rate and reasonably priced. Breakfast is also a real treat. My personal favorite: eggs benedict. Despite the fact that this is no longer a BYO restaurant, good... More

An easy hike with a spectacular view. Takes about 20-30 minutes to casually walk along the path. The rock formations and tidal pools are worth the hike.

Delicious food, relaxing place to eat. All of the staff was helpful. Not a fancy restaurant, a very nice family restaurant. Seafood was excellent!

My wife andI took the Casco Bay ferry one delightful Wednesday at the end of July from Portland to Harpswell. Once at Harpswell, we had two hours before the return trip to Portland. As far as searching out a spot for lunch is concerned, this spelled dosaster. Not only was there a ferry full of hungry passengers, there were also... More

We stopped for lunch, due to the good TA reviews. They're right. The food isn't fancy, but prepared to order, hot, and good. The side of onion rings that came with my Reuben sandwich were terrific, and the sandwich was darned good too. Wife's haddock sandwich was reported to be similarly good. I had the locally made blueberry pie, a... More

For Breakfast: Husband had the Corn beef hash, I had the "My Favorite" Omelet (now my favorite). Also was there again for breakfast, I ask them if I could get some lobster in my eggs. Another favorite. For Lunch(es): We always are in search for the best fried clams, lobster roll and fish & chips while we are in Maine.... More

This was the first time we visited the restaurant. It sits right next to the post office. Simple decor and very good food. It looks like a place that locals would want to come (not touristy or overpriced). The wait staff was fun and friendly. We will definitely go back. I had a haddock sandwich which was inexpensive and excellent.... More
