I read about O'Brien's online and we always are looking for great places outside the French Quarter. So, against the advice of the hotel concierge due to location, we went and oh, my were we glad we did! The exterior is very nondescript, like an office building. On entering, we found an intimate small elegant restaurant, with booths and tables... More

I recently went there with friends for my Birthday. I had excellent food and impeccable service. Everything everyone had was high quality and cooked to perfection.

Thanks to a tip from our local barmaid, we discovered this gem, that looks like a small warehouse but the food was amazing!! Situated on the West Bank, not noted for high class restaurants, this one ranks now in my top three in the New Orleans area. We had crab & tomato salad and scallop salad to start, followed by... The boxy, unimpressive exterior gives way to an elegant dining atmosphere once you enter. O'Brien's offers fine food and solid service. A variety of steak/beef choices -- traditional filet, prime rib, etc -- is complemented by a nice selection of seafood entrees. The grilled redfish with a crawfish maque choux was terrific. Others at our table enjoyed the shrimp and... More

We were staying at the Holiday Inn for work, and we were a bit bummed we were so far from downtown. But this restaurant really delivered! We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and we loved them all! We definitely recommend the scallops, the risotto, and the gnocchi.

My niece and her fiancé took my wife and I to this little culinary gem on the west bank. Everything and I mean everything we had there was spectacular. I had the Smoked Duck Breast to start. It was fork-tender and cooked to perfection with a hint of applewood or hickory smoke. Next came the Bleu Cheese Lettuce Wedge. There... More

This restaurant is located in a old warehouse about a two miles west of the Holiday Inn in Gretna. As other reviewers have reported, while the exterior is nondescript the interior is surprisingly tastefully done creating a great ambiance. It is out of the way but worth the drive. It is probably the best restaurant on the West Bank. The... More

Don't be put off by the location or outside appearance. Once you enter the door you enter an intimate white tabecloth environment with an attentive wait staff, experienced chef and a small but top notch wine list. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant can fill quickly.

One of the great restaurants in the Greater New Orleans area. If you are on the West Bank, you really should try this place. The seafood dishes are cooked to perfection. Highlights include the grilled gulf fish (redfish was the choice when I went) topped with shrimp, served over couscous. Another great dish is the stacked grit cakes and lightly... More

What looked like a nice warehouse turned restaurant, and judging from the name it must be a burger place, turned out to be a first-class dining experience. We walked in to white tablecloths, black-clad waiters, and outstanding food. Never thought I'd order eggplant soup but it was perfectly made with small perfectly fried and breaded pieces floating in a cream... More
