Note: I visited the restaurant for lunch earlier and had a perfect shrimp poboy -about 8 inches long- and French fries. The place was packed at lunch with locals. Classic comfort food and specials( I wanted to see if this place would be worth a visit for dinner----YES!!!) We visited this restaurant and really liked it. The setting is casual... More

A short ,happy ride from Baton Rouge! We were the first ones there and it didn't take long for the place to fill up. The young lady that waited on us was great. Yes, it's an old ,many roomed place but that was good. And the food....well, the food was pretty good. We had a variety of items ( seafood... More

This restaurant is my favorite in the Baton Rouge area. Great atmosphere and the food is truly on the same level as some of the finest restaurants in New Orleans.

This was my first visit to Roberto's and I was very impressed with the atmosphere, service, and food. We started with the River Road Shrimp. Great appetizer, but it does have a hint of spice. Everyone at our table had the steak special which came with topped with bar-b-que shrimp and placed on a bed of hash. My favorite dish... More

Do not be "off put" by the building that houses Roberto's... it simply adds to the overall dining experience! There are tons of places to eat in Baton Rouge, but over the past four years, I have rarely found any place that compares to Roberto's. The quality of the food is beyond comparison. Yes, the prices are a bit higher... More

First of all, let me confess, I eat at Roberto's at least once ever couple of months. It is one of the most unique restaurants in the Baton Rouge area. Even though the address says "Sunshine" it is easily accessible from Baton Rouge via Nicholson Drive. My favorite dish here is the Fish Papillote. It is hands down the best... More

Where to begin? This is a very out of the way spot, unless you are driving the river road in LA. From the outside appearance you might not stop...but don't judge this book by its cover! I've been there a few times for business lunches when in the area and have never been disappointed. We start with the Fried Sweet... More

Difficult to describe exactly how delicious this food was. Abundant flavors mixed in unexpected ways creating a cacophony of deliciousness to savor in your mouth. Each bite better than the next. Each dish presented as a beautiful gift with fresh herbs or flowers. The River Road Shrimp served in a homemade light crispy bread bowl was full of vegetables, shrimp... More

Take a little trip down River Road to St. Gabriel, La. Find Roberto's Restaurant and go ahead and step inside this place that looks like it should be condemned. This little gem of a dining nugget will not disappoint! Although it had been several years since we've been here, we've always had excellent food and service! My hubby and I... More
