So good we went back the next night

I was in New Orleans on business and stayed in Slidell. We asked for a good seafood place and were sent to Phil's. It was so good that we went back again the next night. If you order a platter, better have your big boy pants on, it's a LOT of great food.

Waited about 90 minutes for our food, but I believe some of the wait was our waitress, not the kitchen. Food was tasty, maybe a little high priced, but satisfied overall.

Came here after a Saints game and it was worth it! The food was fresh, decent priced, and had a good selection. The wait staff was very accommodating to our variety of needs and made great suggestions. Seems like a good local haunt.

Food is pretty average. There are a few items on the menu that are to die for, but the poboy bread is hard as a rock. Service is good.

We came here on a whim like most of our locations visited during our trip to New Orleans. From the moment we steeped in the cafe we knew our experience would be awesome. We were grated with smiles from the welcoming staff and our baby boy took to our waitress immediately. The southern charm around there was amazing. We ordered... More

Well. I came w my husband because he is working in the area. Reading the top reviews on trip advisor this was number one so we decided to give it a try. 1. On the patio the view is through a very thick dirty plastic. Another patron raised up the plastic and tied it off so we did to only... More

This is a great place for a delicious seafood meal. Staff was friendly and attentive, prices were mid-range. Ambience, not really. We sat on the back porch overlooking the marina as I had read in reviews that it was the spot to be. We also wanted to sit there because it was freezing in the main restaurant. Unfortunately, it was... More

My friend and I enjoyed delicious seafood, we shared an excellent seafood gumbo. She chose the seafood platter "catfish, shrimp, oysters, hush puppies topped with a delicious stuffed crab cake". I selected the snapper with a crayfish shrimp stuffing accompanied by a crisp house salad and a wonderful cajun vinaigrette. As a second side dish we picked the potato salad... More

Phil's had been recommended by some friends. It did not disappoint! The Eggplant Christopher was wonderful! My husband and son ordered steaks and they were also very good. My daughter had the Country Fried Steak. The service was also really good. The "salad" was simply lettuce and 3 olives, but the Ranch dressing tasted homemade (very good). The portions were... More

We stopped on our way passing through for an early dinner and were blown away by our experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable, efficient and on top of serving our needs. The menu selection is much more than what we expected and so many items that we wanted to try. I settled for soft shell crab topped with crawfish and artichokes... More
