I'm a fan of the food, and I love the funky vibe. Sometimes meet friends who live in Lacombe here for lunch. Holy cow, was the service slow this time. I guess they figured we weren't in a hurry.

The family went to Camellia Cafe tonight and I didn't prep by reading other reviews first, so we went in blind, based on recommendations from my wife's travelling customers. Camellia Cafe has a very casual atmosphere when you walk in, looks to seat about 100 guests, and has a bar with seating for about 6-7 people eating individually. We ordered... More

This cafe is always full of locals judging from the license plates in the parking lot. Very good food, reasonably priced. Causal atmosphere good for dining with children.

Casual, unpretentious and excellent. My wife and I stopped for a late lunch and ordered the daily specials. Mine was fried shrimp with French fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. My wife's was the best blackened catfish we have every eaten. They were both all you can eat, and we did have several helpings. You had your choice of fried,... More

Went there based on a recommendation! For appetizers we had the onion soup & seafood gumbo! We should have stopped there! My husband had the seafood nachos, which were just "OK", nothing special. I ordered the Crabmeat Au Gratin. Definitely more "au gratin" than crabmeat, almost like a cheese soufflé...had to hunt to find any crabmeat! Perhaps a smaller dish... More

I had heard several people speak highly of this establishment. I went at lunch and the service is just OK. The food was good, but not great. The prices are a bit on the high side. Not on my list of places to hurry back to.

I went here 2 days in a row for breakfast, and had the same server both days. The meals could not have been more different. The first was great and everything was made as requested. The second was not as good with the wrong cheese on my omelet and wrong bread. The server was more interested in the collection of... More

My husband had red beans & rice w pork chop. He loved the food and good size portion. I had the chowder. It was a little thin but full of corn & seafood with great flavor. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we were satisfied. We will eat here again!

I really want to rate the Café an excellent but it's not a gourmet restaurant so am just giving it a Very Good but as compared with other restaurants like it, it was excellent. We stumbled on the Camellia Café wile just driving along the highway looking for a place to eat. It didn't look fancy but had seafood and... More

I liked the food and I will return. I don't eat here a lot because I think that they are too often hit or miss. They could stand to be more generous, but when it's a miss who cares.
