Huge portions and good value

We ate here after doing the Honey Island Swamp Tour which I highly recommend. I'd checked out our lunch options online in advance as the tour finished just before 1pm. The food was well seasoned and plenty of it. Our waitress was very friendly she made sure we were well taken care of. We will be sure to go back again.

Traveling along the gulf, and we wanted to eat a little seafood while in the area Thought I had seen a review of this place somewhere, so we took a chance. First of all, the service was wonderful, some of the best we have ever received. Hubby got the seafood plate, and couldn't finish it, there was such an array... More

Used to be great, but somewhere along the road to success this restaurant lost its way. Quality & consistency in preparation is no longer a given. Sometimes with just few people in the place it might take 15 minutes to get waited on. Loved the restaurant at one time, but don't even consider it anymore...

Since I hardly ever pass this way even after having lived in Slidell for almost 18 years, I never had the opportunity to eat here. I also heard that it is expensive, which wrongfully kept me away. Well, I was starving late this morning and happened to pass right in front on a weekday morning when they were not crowded... More

We were driving through Slidell and stopped here by chance for a late lunch. The staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful. The food was great and we are told that if you go on a Sunday the queue is outside and down the street. Recommend for families or on your own. True southern hospitality.

While traveling we stopped in Slidell looking for local food. We happened upon Camellia Cafe bc of a wrong turn. It looks very local and not really that attractive on the outside. But inside it's very quirky! We were here at supper and each had a burger and grilled chicken burger with "frips" (homemade potato chips) for $5 each! They... More

We were looking for real southern food and we stumbled upon this place. Excellent food! My husband had the Po Boy Catfish sandwich and I had BLT. Ok, the BLT isn't typical southern, I admit it, but it was great none the less. I had a taste of my husband's catfish, and although I am not a huge fan of... More

Our family enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Camellia Cafe on our way to NOLA. I have ate at this establishment many times over the past five years, but this was the first for my wife and kids. They loved the fried shrimp dinners with the baked macaroni and the mashed potatoes with gravy. The staff was excellent and they were... More
