I visited this restaurant based on viewing an episode of Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. I ordered the prime rib po'boy and corn pudding. The po'boy was as good as Guy said it was and the corn pudding was to die for. LA Pines is a dive in terms of appearance, but don't let that fool you -... More

Honestly, I really don't see the hype...at least not with their breakfast foods. I stopped by here on a Sunday (only breakfast is served) and the place itself had a good crowd for a Sunday afternoon. Service wasn't bad...a bit slow but friendly. I ordered some homefries and a banana waffle. I suppose I expected a waffle with bananas or... More

It's a dive...exactly what you would expect it to like like! My family and I stopped at LA Pines on our way back from Florida. Thank goodness for the app for shows that have been on Food TV. After a recommendation from Guy Fieri...we had the best bread pudding of our lives! It would make Paula Deen cry it was... More

Great every time. The constancy is amazing. My husband tries Eggs Benedict every where we go LA Pines wins! Great food and good prices.

Just because a place has been on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives does not mean the food is any good. I had the same smoked prime rib pop boy that was featured on the show and could not eat it. It was mostly gristle and fat on soggy bread. The fried okra I ordered was not fit to eat either. It... More

This small restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch hours, plus two nights a week (Thu/Fri) for dinner. The place was packed out for breakfast on Sunday, although the wait for a table was short. On the advice of the waitress, who said it was their best seller, I ordered the shrimp omelette with crawfish and mushrooms, covered with a... More

I go here almost once a month and cross my fingers as I walk through the door and sit at a table hoping I won't get another rude and unsocial waitress. It's a shame because the food really is great, but these waitresses they have representing their restaurant are horrible. 9 out of 10 times a server has walked up... More

Maybe it was because we were there too late for lunch, 2:00p.m. We ordered the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives recommended Smoked Brisket po'boy and onion rings. The flavor of the meat was fine, there was just not much of it. The onion rings were hot and tasty. The meal did not measure up to the hype. This place is... More

Alot of locals go here, the food and price are good. Friendly atmosphere, the decor isn't much. Their breakfast is very good. On weekends they barbecue on site, and it's very good.

Best diner ever! All 6 if us loved our orders: garden omelet, Mexican breakfast ole!, ribeye, waffle with bananas and blueberries, chopped beef chicken fried steak, and daily special (smoked brisket, smoked chicken, smoked pork) was delicious! Portions are huge, prices are very reasonable and service was perfect'
