Pretty good for a diner, and cost-effective also

Went there for the roast-beef sandwich featured on a food show. That was good, but the crayfish/corn chowder was wonderful - and I don't like crayfish! My granddaughter had the crab burger, which she rates as good. The prices are very good for quality food in the NOLA area.

The service was nice and the food was not bad, but it was mediocre at best. We found this place on the Diners, Drive-in's, and Dives site which we often visit while traveling. It was a good place to avoid the chain restaurants.

Best muffaletta outside Central Grocery in New Orleans. Had that and seafood gumbo which was absolutely excellent. The guys topped off lunch with fudge pie. Prices are so low ($14 for a whole muffaletta which is two lunches for two people). The next day after our swamp tour we went back and ordered a whole sandwich this time so we... More

Parking may be a problem. Got seated quickly though the place was full and people came and went continually. Obviously a local crowd as soon as someone walked in the door they were greeted by name and asked if they wanted the usual. Once our order was taken it came out pretty quickly. Food was adequate but not exceptional. Staff... More

One of the best places in Slidell to stop for breakfast. It's a simple little country place with outstanding food. The price is very reasonable and the service is good. A great place for family and friends to meet and eat. Try the Cajun Eggs Benedict for a real treat. Bon Appetite.

Was looking to check out the Triple D location. Was looking to do lunch but got there too early and decided on Breakfast which turned out to be an excellent choice. The place was fully packed, but we were quickly seated. Our waitress was very friendly and set us up with coffee and water, as we explored the menu options.... More

I saw this place on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives and had to check it out. Well we have made it one of our stops anytime we travel to New Orleans. Breakfast is divine. Everything I have had is very good. The pancakes are so fluffy. Portions are large. Cheryl is super, she will take great care of you. I think... More

We saw this place on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It had great food and low prices. I had the prime rib sandwich that Guy Fieri had. It was excellent. I especially liked the bread. We had the fudge pie for dessert and it was probably the best I've ever had. We will very likely go back there if we're in... More

Do you enjoy breakfast? Get ready to be impressed because this brings breakfast to a whole other level. By the time we finished eating we were looking forward to the next day and wishing we had room to just keep eating. The blueberry compote or whatever, to die for. Pancakes that are huge fluffy clouds of breakfast breads for picky... More
