My wife and I went here for the first time and will without a doubt go back. The atmosphere was and the staff even better. Our server, Kiara and Chef Daniel were outstanding. We very highly recommend this wonderful paradise on the bayou.

Palmetto's is a lovely charming restaurant. It has a great atmosphere and great food. The Trout Almondine is wonderful! No other place in Slidell can beat it. It also makes for an awesome place to throw a wedding or party!

Only been here once and it was for a bridal shower. Food was delicious, inside and outside were beautiful. I can't say much about the service just because it was a party so a lot going on. From what I can tell it was good. Everyone always had full glasses of drink.

Nice, appealing menu selection, food was hot -- server also tended bar which our service a little slow. Would definitely go back.

This restaurant is a real treasure for its location on the bayou and meal offerings in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly, well informed, and accommodating. The bayou setting is superb and I highly recommend taking the short walk out to view the water from the boat dock either before or after dinner. There is also live jazz some... More

Lovely hidden restaurant. Looks like a repurposed house from the inside. They should clean up the visible open space upstairs because patrons can see the storage items up there and it detracts from the otherwise crisp and clean look. Some patrons were a little dressed up and others more casual. The best po'boy we had during our Louisiana trip. The... More

It is a relaxing setting on the bayou. Compared to other restaurants in the area, we just don't find the food and service as good.

Spend a lovely afternoon enjoying the food and atmosphere. Had a soft shell crab stuffed with oyster dressing on a roasted corn salad. Very innovative. Look forward to another visit there.

Who would expect to find a restaurant that exceeded my expectations in every respect while making a most tedious cross country trip across the country? If you are making this journey across I-10/12, don't miss this restaurant. We sat on the plastic enclosed patio (to protect from mosquitoes) and the view of the bayou and surrounding jungle like foliage was... More

My husband and I discovered this gem on TripAdvisor on our way to Biloxi from New Orleans. We loved the charming staff, courteous staff and the delicious food. On Sundays, they offer live music between 11a-3p. I loved the white tablecloths and the beautiful views.
