Trip Advisor is such a great resource when you are traveling and not familiar with the area. We were lucky enough to stop by Palmettos for lunch and had an amazing meal. Lovely outdoor dining and excellent wine list! Our waitress Tiara, provided great service and we really enjoyed our visit! We will definitely stop by there again, when we... More

Driving home from a New Orleans weekend, we wanted to get just one more meal that we couldn't experience back home. Saw Palmetto's on tripadvisor and it was perfect for that! Sunday brunch was wonderful. Good food and a beautiful setting on the bayou. Cajun music on the patio, kids dancing, happy locals. Friendly service. Easy to access off the... More

On our way to another restaurant, saw Palmettos when driving by , turn around to see what it was. Since we live 2-2 1/2 hours away we did not know about this place. What a great surprise to find such a nice place on a bayou with beautiful surroundings, wonderful food and the friendliest, most accommodating staff. Looking forward to... More

We took some friends for brunch last Sunday. They had never been to Palmettos so we thought they would enjoy something new. The buffet was fabulous...grits and grillades, shrimp Diane, spinach casserole, turnip greens, fish amandine, crawfish etoufe, oyster dressing, a carving station, and omelettes on demand to include duck and salmon. And dessert too! We left full and happy.

A group of us had brunch and it was fantastic. We arrived by boat, and tied up and the dock for a short walk to the back deck. The Sunday brunch includes a mimosa which made it even more enjoyable. The variety of dishes was well selected and the desserts were yummy!

Visiting friends in our old neighborhood so we decided to gather at Palmettos. Wonderful changes to the interior! Really takes advantage of the bayou view! I was pleased to find duck still on the menu along with my favorite Trout Almondine but the amazing surf and turf special stole the show. Softshell crab and Braised Short Ribs really unique paring!... More

We were going to Mandeville, LA and wanted to stop in Slidell to eat lunch and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and were we glad we did. It is off the beaten path, actually right on the bayou so you can come by boat. They have a large outdoor patio but it was raining so we sat inside by... More

Palmetto's has stepped up its game recently. A recent makeover of the restaurant made an attractive venue even better. Today there were two buffet lines due to a couple of parties outdoors on the deck. The food was excellent as usual. The carving station had prime rib with a very tasty glaze. The omelet station had everything you could imagine... More

Really love the location and ambience here. It is a little loud, but that's ok. We got a drink from the very busy bar while we waited for our table. The bartender was really quick and friendly. The woman Jennifer who seated us was very pleasant! She does her job well! We started with the fried green tomatoes with shrimp... More
