Snow bears and chocolate martinis, yes. Same for an appetizer at the bar. But for dinner, be forewarned. My experience over several years was reinforced last night. It’s loud, really loud, impossible to converse except in brief lulls. If it’s not the patrons they cater to, it’s the wait staff loudly reciting menu options at other diners. Only with difficulty... My favorite restaurant in Shreveport! Definitely a treat! The menu is quoted. Individualized service. Totally amazing!

When I made the reservation I told them this was my wife's birthday... No mention of birthday entire dinner. You can say I'm being nit picky but when I'm shelling out $250 bucks on a meal for 2 these are the little touches that shouldn't be missed. Dinner: Drinks: martinis very good. Bread was delicious that they give you when... More

This restaurant takes you back in time. It is retro decor and be prepared for pricey but delicious food. There are no menus. The attentive waiters describe each menu item. It is hard to choose. Menus change daily. The shrimp lafayette is a great appetizer. Great wine list and great drinks add to the atmosphere. Not a place for kids...great... More

Ate every bite of everything placed in front of me. Filet cooked perfectly. Twice baked potato all gone. Bread fantastic. Waiter recites the menu--all of it-- from memory and it is quite an extensive menu. Displays the meat choices so you get an example of what you are getting. All five of us at the table ate everything in site.... More

The parking was not marked and made it difficult to find a place. The place is small, darkly light, but with a brightly lit bar. So not real romantic but still a good date place. Our waiter was excellent and gave a great suggestion on my wife's 1 glass of wine. We each had different shrimp appetizers. Mine had goat... More

My wife and I recently spent our anniversary night at The Village and had the best dining experience we have ever known in any restaurant in Louisiana. I would easily put The Village in the same category as the Brennan's restaurants in New Orleans, or Commanders palace. It has a very romantic low lit atmosphere but at the same time... More

My husband ordered the filet, it was tasty and tender but we've had much better. I ordered the ribeye and was extremely disappointed, it was full of fat and gristle. I understand a ribeye is to have a little fat but I honestly had to pick through the cut to even find meat that I could actually eat. I ordered... More

Each time I've dined at The Village, the food and service are excellent. It is unique, and special. The intimate feel sets is apart, from larger places. It is never loud or crowded. To seal the experience, one must finish with a Snowbear !
