I liked this restaurant the first time I went but the second time I went the service was not good, the waiter didn't care about anything I said, and the price for ravioli was ridiculous for 6 raviolis, something like $13. CRAZY! I won't return

There are a number of locations for this restaurant. This is the original location and has always been my favorite as far as the food and the atmosphere. On my recent visit, I had a waiter who seemed like it was a burden to have to be serving us. It is not at all what I was accustomed to experiencing... More

I like Italian, but this wasn't Italian. Had the lasagna, wouldn't do that again. Not as good as Stouffer's grocery store brand. Wife had a Venitian Chicken Salad. She said it was ok. Without the dressing the chicken had no "Venitian" flavor. Waiter couldn't have cared less about us being there. Not going back.

The Muffaletta is the best sandwich I have ever had. Better than central grocery in New Orleans. Nice people good service. Will defiantly go back.

G/F loves eating here but I'm not a fan of their sauce; it's a bit too sweet for my taste. The kids like it too so maybe it's just me. Give it a try and decide for yourself.

I don't get it. Must be surviving on its legacy. Food is 2nd rate. Dipping bread is stale. Semi-toasted warm on one edge, cold on the other. Had to ask for individual dishes of dipping sauce - served in styro-foam bowls. Most entrees slathered with their sweet sauce and melted cheese. Has what some might call "character"- accumulations from atmosphere... More

The wine is usually pretty good, atmosphere is great-- their lasagna and meatball po boy is excellent. They also do a generous portion of shrimp salad

The original Monjuni's on Louisiana Ave. is the best Italian food I've ever had. I always the the Italian Sampler which has spaghetti & meatballs, lasagna, and a quarter muffaletta. Always good food & good service.

Let me address several of the comments from other reviews I've read. Reviews that have prompted me into writing "this" Monjuni's has several locations. The one on Louisiana Ave is their First and original Restaurant. It's always been small, but it's always been packed with people sometimes standing outside the door. They line up for a reason, and it's because... More

Came to town to visit the in laws for the first time and this is the first place we stopped on our way from the airport. Read about it in advance and it certainly lived up to all the hype.
