The food here was always awful. Maybe they can use that insurance money to build a new menu and hire a new staff.
A second visit, and unfortunately worse than the first. First visit was mediocre at best--- this one was a disaster! Seems owner had been traveling for several weeks and just returned on this Saturday night. However, one small problem..... no one had ordered any red meat...... so a large portion of the menu items were not available.... on a Saturday... More
I wrote a positive review in January 2012. This will not be a positive review. I do not know what has happened to the owners, to the chef, to the wait staff, but I do know that it is all bad. What a shame, because this was once a special place. To start, our party of four was shown to... More
had an early dinner at OSB last nite - the front of their menu advertises happy hour from 4-6 - 2 glasses of wine for the price of 1 - arrived a bit after 5 - there were two of us - i ordered a glass of 'house chianti' b/4 dinner - had a second glass with my dinner -... More
Things are not what they used to be at this once proud, but now thread-worn establishment. Ownership has changed and one can tell. I recently went for lunch and it was not very enjoyable. Things moved very slowly and the wait for our lunchtime special was 50, that's right 50 minutes. Not too good when one has an hour long... More
Food is excellent, and the desserts are divine! The chef offers daily specials that allow him to stretch his cultural roots and give dinners an experience to remember. The restaurant is a little dark but the atmosphere is very peaceful, great for a date night!
My friends and I ate lunch here on Saturday in early June. We were looking for Italian because I wanted a big meal before starting my journey home (good thing, because my flight was 3 hours late). None of us had any idea about where to eat in Shreveport, so when this came up on my friend's ipad as not... More
We visit this every time my wife and I visit our son stationed at Barksdale AFB. The food, service and atmosphere are among the best italian cuisine we have experienced and we are from the Chicago area. What is puzzling is the low attendance from the locals. If this is the only way i can grab the shoulders of the... More
The food and overall experience seemed average for the cost. I brought this up to the owner, and he said price basically depends on his shipping expenses. The building is old; the neighborhood feels low income; and you'd pay less for a simular, if not better experience, somewhere else. AND, you wouldn't have images of mice partying in the building... I have dined many times at The Bistro for dinner, but had not had lunch there for quite some time. Last Tuesday two friends and I met there and had a very enjoyable luncheon. I recommend the Chicken in Grand Marnier Sauce and the very nice vegetable soup with slices of fresh vegetables and eggplant. Very reasonably priced, excellent service... More
