Happy that we went to Wine Country Bistro, it is our first time in Shreveport so we had no idea as to where to go. We trusted the reviews and weren't disappointed. We had the mussels excellent choice, fried calamari were also good, decent wine selection ! And Good service.

Three things for starters: 1) Wine Country Bistro may be a bit of a misnomer, since it is at least 1000 miles from a serious vineyard,, BUT 2) there is also a connected bottle shop with a wide selection of American, Argentenian, Australian, Chilean, etc. wines, AND 3) there is an extremely impressive barbecue smoker in the parking space directly... One of the best happy hours in town, if you use their house spirits you can get a really great martini for #4. Always a great meal too. They change their menu up so there is always something new to try. Also, GREAT brunch place, try their waffles, but be prepared to share or get a to go box. The... More

Based on other reviews, we found this nice wine bar and bistro while on an overnight stop while traveling through the area. Wanted something light because we were a bit late in stopping for the night, and it was just the ticket--the wait person was helpful in selecting a nice California chard, suggesting a taste since the one we picked... This is in the former Semolina's location on Line Avenue in the same strip center with Stein Mart. Good food but somewhat limited menu. Service is good and lots of parking available. Somewhat pricey.

Have gone here several times before. The food was very good, but not spectacular. The wine list is outstanding because you have the ability to go into the wine shop and select your wine. It was like having a large wine cellar! The service was good even though the server was close to being overloaded. We were not disappointed nor... More

The prices are high but the food is so delicious it is worth every cent! I also know many people who work there and I hear how clean and particular they are about their food before they bring it out. Great for a family get together or a business meeting. Highly suggested!

I travel to Shreveport for business. Usually about every 3 months. So far this is the best place I have dined at while in Shreveport. Let me start by saying I am a picky eater and tend to be critical of restaurants. Wine Country is good but could be much better. For Shreveport if offers an experience you would expect... More

Shreveport has lots of charm, but not lots of great restaurants. However, this one of them. Their idea of what to do with "grits" has given this Northerner a new respect for the ingredient! Attentive service and a good wine list were also much appreciated.

Moved to Shreveport La almost 2 years ago, and have been looking for a great restaurant ever since. Finally found one!...This restaurant was a wonderful experience, from the clean open feel of the seating, the attentive wait staff, and the most incredible food. The Bistro burger with an egg atop the meat, to the most delicious shrimp and grits, to... More
