Kamat Lokaruchi on Bangalore-Mysore highway serves authentic south indian food in traditional style and it is pure veg restaurant. Price of the food is reasonable and quality is top class. Onion rava dosa, rava idly and seera are excellent items in the menu. I loved the taste of sambhar. Only improvement area could be in service.

Kamat was recommended by one of our friend, while on the way to coorg. First while going we had the breakfast. Idlis wrapped in leafs were delicious, fresh and refreshing. On the way back after 7 days we again stopped here for Lunch and must say it was so difficult to drive after that,as we had over eaten. I recommend... More

Awesome authentic Karnataka cuisine. Best place to have breakfast when travelling in Mysore Bangalore Highway. Have not eaten lunch here. So cant really say how it is. Thought I would be surprised if its not good. Food is so good that I just took off in my car one morning with my girlfriend just to have breakfast here. Its also... More

We bunch of 16 members(Family and Friends) recently (29th Dec 13 Sunday) visited this restaurant(4:30 PM) after coming from a picnic at Kanva reservoir. The food - different dosas, veg palav and Rava Idly were ordered. As usual in this place too much crowd and service is late. But to our astonishment, none of snacks were properly cooked - dosas... If I had not asked my driver to stop at an Indian veg restaurant on the way to Mysore, I would have missed this place. The whole setting is like a village house and I thoroughly enjoyed the meals with Jowar roti. The service was a bit slow but they compensated it by serving delicious and authentic Indian food. I... The Bangalore-Mysore highway connects Bangalore folks to many weekend get-aways and beyond ( Mysore, Wayanad, Bandipur, Ooty .. etc. ). You start early in the morning or may be a bit late but you can be sure that you will treat yourself with some good food here. There are several options available for breakfast. I never tried the a-la-carte menu... More

This popular restaurant is conveniently located almost midway between Bangalore - Mysore abt 1 hr 30 mins approximately from both the cities, usually a crowded place but one can get a table in maximum about 10 mins time, there service is very fast and quick, the staff are courteous and are traditionally dressed (casual North Karnataka attire) The ambiance is... Great ambiance, good food and definitely recommended for those traveling to Mysore early in the morning. Had the 'akki rotti' - very good stuff I must say. Wanted to try the 'neer dose' there, but the batter wasn't ready yet! Other dishes 'idly wrapped in leaf (forget name)', puri-palya were also good. Coffee was super!!
