Breakfast pointe

If you are heading to Mysore or beyond from Bangalore at early morning, then halt here for breakfast. Food is pretty good, but wont say its unique or must to have. There are many more smaller joints on the way, but this is a safe bet if you are with family. The only flip side is that its always... read more

Been a regular to this place. Always it is crowded as it serves good south Indians food. But in recent times there service has really dropped and it seems they have an air of arrogance that if you want to eat here then you are at there whims and wishes. Being their on 24th May 2015 with my family got... More

First thing that attracts is the ambience... well set areas to manage the crowd. Doesn`t look like a huge dining hall though there is a huge crowd inside. Food is the next winner, with good varieties of fast food and meals options. We had north Karnataka food (unlimited), curries were good, but found Roti`s to be thick... couldn`t eat more... More

This is one of the best pit-stops on the Bangalore-Mysore highway...it is about a 1hr drive from Bangalore, located at RamaNagar(The village where the famous Hindi movie-Sholay was shot..yes its Gabbar's land!).. The service is quick although place is over crowded most the times.. The food is excellent....You get all the types of food (South/North Karnataka food).. Thier idlis and... More

On the way to Kabini, we had a stop over @Kamat Lokaruchi for breakfast. As usual, we were served great dosas and lovely idlis. We also had fruit juice, tea and coffee. We had to wait for about half an hour before we could get a table. It was rush hour at that time.

We have gone to this place multiple times during its initial days. Things were pretty nice then. But we went here recently and this place has lost all its glory. You won't find any help with getting a seat. The guys serving the food are generous, but the food quality and taste has degraded a lot. They served us rotis... More

Stopping at kamath lokaruchi is a must while going from bangalore to mysore or beyond. We always opt for the buffet breakfast if we are stopping on a weekend. The buffet is priced at 130 bucks. I have tried almost all items in the menu and I love the food here and the banana leaf wrapped idli is a must... More

For most Bangaloreans, a trip to Mysore is a weekend affair. I would guess about 95% of the customers to this restaurant are Bangaloreans either for early breakfast or late dinner. The distance from Bangalore is just right for the breakfast time. I have visited Kamat Lokaruchi many times and always for breakfast on my way to Mysore. This restaurant... More
