The building and interior don't offer you any ambiance at all, unfortunately. However, since it was recommended, we stayed. The food was very very good and the portions were beyond generous. They make a very good shrimp gumbo and the fried oysters were delicious. The fried shrimp were just average. The food might bring me back, but I found the... More

The restaurant is floored with terrazzo and has plastic table cloths. The utensils are cheap and come in wax paper envelopes BUT the food is unbeatable. It is fun to sample the ambiance of the area while eating in a small town. I ordered a hamburger patty for something light - wrong - it was like a pound of meat... More

First off, let me say our server made us feel like we were sitting in her dining room at home! That was awesome. Menu choices are good and the food is a good representation of what you expect with Cajun cuisine. Broths were tangy and thick. Seaford was abundant and flavorful. Prices were decent. Good lunch specials as well. Definitely... More

This restaurant has been around forever for good reason. The food is very good, typical for a good Cajun restaurant. The area where the restaurant has kind of gone down as years have gone by but it is still on HWY 182 so easy to get to. The people are always very nice and service is very good.

I've going to this restaurant for as long as I can remember!!! I had not been in a while and was pleasantly surprised to see the food was still as good as it has always been. They still have the best shrimp creole and fried catfish in Opelousas!

Have been here several times, and have never left disappointed in the food. Staff is attentive to your needs. Moderately priced. Fried seafood is delicious. Has been around a long time.

We were fortunate to be in the Opelousas Louisiana area again at lunch time. Ofcourse we had a wonderful meal at Soileau's Dinner Club. The oysters were fried just like 'Daddy used to make' and the shrimp must have spent the night in the Gulf. The steaks were tender and cooked just right. You can make a take home purchase... More

Traveling through Louisiana and stopped at the Tourist Center on I-49 and asked the lady where we could get some authentic southern fried chicken and she sent us to this restaurant. It is definitely off of the beaten path but the fried chicken and the grilled chicken were both excellent!! It was well worth the time to divert ourselves from... More

This place has always had top notch food for reasonable places. Very quiet for lunch and busy at dinner time. Very good steaks and seafood.
