This used to be a quality place to dine, but has steadily decreased in the last 8 or so years. Water ambiance is nice, but food is bland, overpriced, and flash frozen.

Went to Satterfields for our 38th anniversary, the restaurant is right on the water, very nice view. I guess because they are on the water everything else can be subpar. The service was about the worst I've ever had, took forever just to take our drink order. Took about 20 minutes to take food order. The food was fair, but... More

Most everything was fried, but you can order it grilled or blackened. Loved the boudin balls, and the lunch combo could feed 2 people. Loved the atmosphere, sitting upstairs overlooking the False River, calm waters, with slight breeze. Also loved reading about the history of the restaurant and town on the way out, and just loved the old car at... More

Basic mainly fried food options. Baked potatoes was I must say delicious. The platter we ordered was basic fried pretty much everything. The stuff shrimp was different and good, but a little heavy on the batter. The crab cake was very good though. Very good service and a nice view over the water. It was a bit cool to sit... More

It was our anniversay and the b&b recommended we come here. We sat outside nice view. Ordered drinks and when they came mine still had lipstick on the glass. Waitress took it back and brought me one that still had lipstick on it. (Think it was the same glass and they only halfway tried to remove it) finally got my... More

Ive been there a several times and atmosphere is so fun and relaxed. You dock your boat, sit on the patio, have drinks and dinner. Its the best. The crab cakes, seafood salad and sensation salad are wonderful. Love the band outside also. 4th of July was a huge celebration on False River and being at Satterfields was the place... More

Went here on a weekend getaway from New Orleans. We heard mixed reviews but the view couldn't be beat and there aren't too many other options. The food was a tad overpriced, but I guess you pay for the view. We ordered soft shell crab and grilled fish with pecan muneire sauce. Both were good, but not great. The fish... More

This was my 1st visit but 4 others in our party of 8 had eaten here before. If you park on the street which is very hard to do you walk in on the restaurant level, if not you walk up 2 flights of stairs. The entire back of the restaurant is glass and you have a wonderful view of... More

I've been here several times over the years and its gotten progressively worse. The last time I could not even eat my meal. The view of False River is awesome. Service is sub par.

We had been driving all day through Mississippi and Loisiana with not even a gas station to be found! We really just wanted a restful watering hole and we finally ran into Satterfields just in time to see the sunset on the Mississippi River. We walked in downstairs to a bartender that was sitting down slouched over the bar, not... More
