Should and could be better

I just made my second trip to Clemetine. The restaurant is in an old building offering a lot of character. This is an expensive place to eat, but usually the food is good. Lunch is less expensive and also good food.

This restaurant has a good mix of food choices; pleasant staff and darn good service. Try it and you will like it---stuffed catfish was very good and my wife said the Cajun shrimp & pasta was excellent.

Service was slow, they even ran out of food and took an hour to notify us. Some dishes were barely warm and others were not very good. Despite the poor service they had the nerve to add 20% service charge. I twice had lunch there in addition to our group dinner but I am sure I am not going back,

Friday nights in December are often busy at restaurants, and this was no exception. Despite a couple parties going on (and dining in the bar area because of the parties), the meal was incredible. Zach, our waiter, was personable and very attentive. We had the coconut shrimp and the fried eggplant appetizers - both wonderful. The steak, tuna and salmon... More

First the good. The owner is a fan of folk art, especially Clementine Hunter, and so the restaurant is filled with interesting art including an original CH. There are also a few stuffed heads. . . elk, ibex, etc. Overall I liked the decor. Now the bad. Which is everything else. When I walked in (6:30 PM) there was only... More

This restaurant is located right in the heart of the New Iberia and is owned by a local family. At lunchtime you can enjoy great lunch specials in a lively and happy dining room. The local town flavor is evident in every dish served in the restaurant. especially fun are the weekend dinner menus and the live music that can... More

Came here for their bread pudding. I was told it was known throughout the area. We'll, they weren't wrong. Excellent bread pudding with home made meringue and whiskey sauce. The decor is awesome! Great bar and classic folk art paintings. You won't want to miss this if you are in the area. I will return.

My husband and I choose Clementine for an unexpected date night. The food was amazing!!! The appetizer, the main course, and the desert were out of this world! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely eat there again and I would recommend it to everyone.

Came across Clemantine by accident and she was a very pleasant surprise. Interesting fusion of Southern dishes, very well presented, attentive service and very good value. Confirmation was the in the size of the crowd.
