Excellent raw oysters

Our host at the bed and breakfast sent us here. My husband had gumbo and raw oysters. He said gumbo was excellent and the raw oysters were very fresh. I had the grilled shrimp and grilled new potatoes. Both were really good. This would be a great place for families. They also offer chinese... read more

We stayed in New Iberia on a Sunday night and this was one of the few places open, but based on the reviews we had to try it. I went for the shrimp seafood boil - 1 lb. for $15 with corn and potatoes - request their extra seasoning on the side! My husband ordered the egg rolls and combination... More

First, no atmosphere whatsoever -- and not in a good way; not in a "hole in the wall, local place way" - bad, in a plastique, no imagination, soul-less way. Second, bad food. This is a Louisiana seafood restaurant and they served FROZEN crabs from another state that tasted really bad. (Our waiter told us they were frozen -- but... More

After a devastating fire a year ago, Jane's Seafood has been rebuilt and is bigger and better than ever! The crawfish are perfect, fried seafood wonderful, and there is a fully stocked bar! The service is so good, they go above and beyond to be helpful. Even when there is a line outside the door, and there often is, the... More

Come "pass a good time" with friends, family and even strangers. Every item on the menus is pleasing to the senses from taste to smell. The staff members are friendly and the atmosphere is fun. It is our restaurant of choice when family and friends are in town for a visit.

We went to Jane's especially for the boiled shrimp and crawfish, though there are also many Chinese dishes available. The seafood was excellent as far as boiled seafood goes. Just be careful when ordering your seafood extra spicy. The spice comes in salt, so the more spice the more salt. My husband who loves really spicy hot food was turned... More

I just got some boiled shrimp to go but the inside is amazing! They added a great bar area and can now seat around 200 people. I have been wanting to go but since they just reopened and it is also Lent they have been packed and have a waiting list almost every night. My boiled shrimp were large and... More

We had a wonderful 1st visit to the new Jane's tonight. The building and parking lot are nice and new. Inside is great. We like the new seating, the nice bar area, and chalkboards displying specials. Try a Jane-tini! You will think you are on cruise ship or Caribbean Island-yummy. The draft beer is super cold and served in frosted... More
