Seasoned perfectly and good sized portions make the Boiling Point a great place for boiled seafood. The atmosphere isn't much but the service makes up for it. Cold beer and crawfish are hard to beat.

I was born and raised in New Iberia, and the Boiling Point first opened 20-30 years ago. I don't recall having anything there other than boiled seafood--crawfish, crabs, shrimp. The boiled crawfish were the best I've had anywhere. When I visit New Iberia during crawfish season (Mar to June), I always try to plan a visit here.

the greatest thing I love about the boiling point is that it offers the greatest tasting cajun food in the country. Many would agree that once you've tasted the southern food down here. you will never want to eat elsewhere. Louisiana is known for it's spicy flavors and such. No where else in the world offers the finest tasting food... More

If you need ambience, this isn't the place... but you can't beat it for great seafood! This was the very best crab dinner I've ever had the pleasure to eat; matter of fact, the best seafood bar none! "The Boiling Point" set the bar mighty high. I tried to find another dungeness crab dinner as delicious, but had no luck... More

I ordered the boiled shrimp and it was over cooked and wasn't brought out until about 15 minutes after every ones food had already arrived. It was over cooked and you could not get the shells off of it. My family ordered the fried shrimp and oysters and the food was cold when it was brought out but the shrimp... More

I have been eating here for years, I've never been disappointed, it is consistently a wonderful place to eat. The people are friendly, its a great place to sit down and relax. Usually a great variety of boiled seafood to choose from.

As a crab fan, have to say this restaurant has the best crabs ever tried so far! Tried once myself and then brough the whole family over with 6 hours drive. Most of the blue crabs are full and fresh, very fresh. The size of the blue crabs is way bigger than Houston ones. The seasons from the restaurant is... More

Located on west frontage road that dead ends, Boing Point was not an easy find--it was as TA said--" a good local seafood place" certainly not fancy--but clean and good service and most importantly-fresh and well prepared fried shrimp--nice size servings--certainly worth going back and giving a good recommendation
