We are a localy owned family restaurant since 1981. We have just open in a new location just across highway 90. We have been serving Boiled, Fried & Grilled Seafood for 32 years. We are also serving homemade Hamburger Steak. Locals are happy we kept the same floor plan, although we do have a Mini Bar to fix mix drinks And serve wine.

Fried food OK, boiled crabs not so much

Really wanted some boiled crabs. We ordered and they came out very hot. Very expensive! Crabs were small for the price and not very full. Most of the crabs didn't have claws. Over spicy with seasoning thick on shells. Did have fried oysters that were excellent. Fried catfish was a bit 'fishy... read more

Staying a few days in New Iberia and sampling some of the local specialties. Boiling point was recommended by our RV park host (Crystal) and it was a great recommendation. We especially enjoyed our server Marlee (sp??). She helped us select our dishes, for four people, and explained local favorites. We had soft shell crab, alligator, catfish and Poorboy sandwiches.... Well, this Texas twosome was impressed with everything but the gumbo. We probably don't know what real gumbo is supposed to taste like, but I would not order this again. Just not much to it. That fried seafood platter, on the other hand, was one of the best we have ever encountered. Absolutely the best fried craw fish I have... More

We were looking for classic Cajun food and this is where we found. The place is not fancy, it just has good food. The staff was fun and friends. They were very attentive to our needs. Unfortunately they were out of boiled crawfish, but we got the seafood sampler which God is a taste of many different types of Cajun... More

We use to Frequent to the old location. Tonight was the first time we went to the new location. We rarely get a chance to go out as a family. My husband and I work hard during the week rarely have a night off together. Tonight we decided we needed a nice family night out. We were craving seafood and... More

I'm so sorry yall were disappointed. But this crawfish season so for had been the worst in the 33 years since we have been in business. All my wait staff were told to tell customers that the crawfish are small. And yes as a restaurant we make our prices according to what we have to pay the fisherman. And I... More

We did discuss the blackish crawfish. At the being of the season these tend to come out of the ponds with the new crops and tails aren't always full, but You said they tasted different (muddy). Our crawfish are dropped in a tank and washed before they hit the pots. You didn't want anymore as I tried to replace them.... More

On business in Lafayette and a friend mentioned trying this restaurant. Went there last night and it was very good. The local that we went with and I both got lost, he thought it was because the place moved to a larger location across the highway. I got lost because the Frontage road is very dark and hard to find,... More

We asked fellow at motel for recommendation for good local place to eat and he suggested the Boiling Point. Filled with locals, many with plates piled high with boiled crabs. Wait staff was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. This is the place to get good, fresh seafood.

The gumbo is excellent, as is the grilled gator. Wait personnel were polite and made suggestions that made sense not just to them.
