My husband and I were up for some good boiled crawfish and decided to give the boiling point a try,but boy were we disappointed...When our crawfish arrive to the table they were not all the bright red color about half was blackish and I ask my waiter why she said she didn't know and would find out...She called a lady... We did discuss the blackish crawfish. At the being of the season these tend to come out of the ponds with the new crops and tails aren't always full, but You said they tasted different (muddy). Our crawfish are dropped in a tank and washed before they hit the pots. You didn't want anymore as I tried to replace them.... More

On business in Lafayette and a friend mentioned trying this restaurant. Went there last night and it was very good. The local that we went with and I both got lost, he thought it was because the place moved to a larger location across the highway. I got lost because the Frontage road is very dark and hard to find,... More

We asked fellow at motel for recommendation for good local place to eat and he suggested the Boiling Point. Filled with locals, many with plates piled high with boiled crabs. Wait staff was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. This is the place to get good, fresh seafood.

The gumbo is excellent, as is the grilled gator. Wait personnel were polite and made suggestions that made sense not just to them.

While vacating in southern Louisiana, we stopped in at the R & M Boiling Point, locally known as the "Boiling Point". The food is very good and local fare, many offers you do not find in other areas. We were a party of 4 and had several different items. All very good. Would return again when in the area.

My GF and I went to R&M this past Saturday! She ordered the fresh Frog Legs and the Onion Rings and they were fantastic but I ordered the crawfish and I must say they were the worst tasting crawfish I have ever eaten. They had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. They put seasoning on the outside but the tails were tasteless.... More

Great place to get the real deal when it comes to Cajun. The crawfish and shrimp are fresh and the prices are very reasonable.

I won't be going back. Wait staff is clearly not happy to be there. Food was not good and you don't get much for the price. The lettuce in the salad had clear freeze damage. We ordered grilled alligator, and I'm not sure what it was, but whatever it was, was clearly fried. It was also a very small amount... More
