We are a localy owned family restaurant since 1981. We have just open in a new location just across highway 90. We have been serving Boiled, Fried & Grilled Seafood for 32 years. We are also serving homemade Hamburger Steak. Locals are happy we kept the same floor plan, although we do have a Mini Bar to fix mix drinks And serve wine.

Might fine food

The food was delicious as were the Bloody Mary's, which came with a local hot sauce (not Tabasco). We bought a bottle. The tab was reasonable, the kitchen prompt and the service friendly. I saw other diners having two platters of bright red crawfish that were amazingly large. Gumbo: yummy... read more

Good seafood/fish. Wonderful service. I liked the gumbo. The poor boy was delicious. The onion rings are something you should not miss. You get huge portions for the price.

My husband and I used to go to the old location, but had never been to the new one, so we decided to take the drive from Lafayette down Hwy 90 for some boiled shrimp. The shrimp are very large, and we had about 8 in our one order .... Also, an oyster poor boy, corn on the cob and... More

First time to the Boiling Point and was not disappointed. Fried alligator appetizer was the best I have had in a really long time. The seafood platter had an amazing assortment with a little bit of everything to sample. Can't wait to go back and try some of the grilled seafood options

Visited here as part of the tabasco food tour. The sample here was boiled crawfish with their house made sauce. It was excellent. I would have like to gone back here for another meal but just ran out of time.

We are in town working, a group of 4 went here as we are wanting seafood while were here for a week. It was suggested to try the seafood platter, if we had never been there, I'm not fond of all fried foods, so I substituted the fries for a piece of corn. The food was all very good, had... More

If you pass the R& M Boiling Point off Hwy 90 in La, it is your biggest mistake. The owners, Roxie & Forest and her brother are the nicest, friendliest host. They are visible always checking on their customers. They have a smile, laugh and big cajun hug to give. The wait staff are all so friendly and love their... More

We weren't all that impressed with this place and would probably not return. It is a warehouse atmosphere, although decorated in theme. I had the fried crawfish basket. They were pretty tasteless, and the fries were soggy. My husband had the fried shrimp basket and thought it was ok, but again with the soggy fries. I think I'd find another... More
