Best Seafood and Poboys

Best place in Acadiana, and perhaps Louisiana to get an overstuffed Poboy, great gumbo and seafood. Must eat stop for anyone passing thru New Iberia.

We are from Virginia Beach. I make a decent Gumbo and try it when I see it on menus. Never had any that is in this class. Best I have ever had. We got a PoBoy with every thing. The seafood was fried perfectly!

If you get here during lunch, you are going to be in line with the oil workers, crawfish farmers, Konrico factory workers and a sprinkling of tourists. This is the real thing - as authentic as it gets...... Want a real treat, ask for some Imperial Orleans Caviar - it is fabulous - a beautiful, naturally black, small bead caviar... More

Try to go at least once every time I visit New Iberia. Not your average restaurant, but an unusual place to eat. Old looking building, but parking lot is usually full. You walk in to a order counter with the menu posted on the wall. This is a creole down home place. Nothing matches, but you feel comfortable with good... More

Best shrimp po boys ever! Stuffed! Yummy gumbo! We don't eat there often, but it is a must have when family comes to visit!

Great food and if you love eating at places that you can tell are local this is the place to go. The poboys were good and portions were huge. My only regret is that I didn't get the crawfish poboy or bread pudding. The people were also very friendly. My niece left something on the table and they had it... More

Food is usually pretty good but found the fried shrimp and catfish not as crunchy as I like it!! It was soft!! The seafood gumbo was outstanding!!!!

We love Bon Creole's Seafood poboys, they are overstuffed, made fresh and are on the best bread. They are worth the cost. They also have a kids menu. And they made a crab and corn bisque/soup.

What we used to call a "working man's restaurant". Nothing fancy in here. You order at the counter and you are served poor boy sandwiches wrapped in paper and gumbo in a styrofoam bowl. The shrimp poorboy was overstuffed with delicious fried shrimp. The gumbo was good, filled with crab meat. I like mine a touch darker, though.

Large tables & paper towel rolls on the tables as well as game heads around the room. It ain't fancy by any means but the food is really good. It's a walk up counter to order your food and they holler your name when it's ready. The fact that it was PACKED when we were there says enough about what... More
