This place is an atypical hole-in-the-wall. It is LOUD, cramped and always busy. It's a lunch counter, you walk up and order sit and wait for your name to be called and you will bite your tongue and fingers eating. Some of the best food and plenty of it, you will have to take some home for later.

I worked in new Iberia for 4 years & a friend of the family from New Iberia told me if you eat out, eat @ Bon Creole. He wasn't joking, there is nothing & I mean nothing bad in this place. I've had their plate lunches, po'boys, platters IT'S ALL GOOD !!! you can't go wrong. Not hard to find... More

The Po Boy's were great----service was excellent and truly a "locals place" but we were treated as if we were "regulars". Need more places like this in the USA...!

We drive from Texas to New Orleans at least once a year, and we always plan our trip to include lunch at Bon Creole. That's just how good it is. There are very few tourists. It's not a place that you would stop if you didn't know about it. The po-boys are stuffed with seafood! My husband also likes their... More

Thankfully, this place was open and not sold out. Our last trip was on a Sunday, pre sold BBQ day and they were open but sold out. This time, it was a regular day and they were open for regular business. We skipped some meals just in preparation for this place. We heard the portions were huge and I can... More

We make it a point to eat at Bon Creole every time we're near. Po-boys and Gumbo are the best I've ever eaten. My order was a half catfish poboy, gumbo (comes with potato salad) and bread pudding. I'm pretty sure the poboy bread was baked in Heaven. It is light, yet slightly chewy, and tender. As with all poboys,... More

Bon Creole is a small unassuming cafe/restaraunt in New Iberia with some of the best po-boys and plate lunches around. The fried shrimp or fried oyster sandwiches, on fresh french bread are worth the trip. I have never gotten a sandwich there that was not overflowing with fried shrimp. or oysters if you prefer. Fried on the spot when ordered,... More

We tried this little spot due to the reviews on TripAdvisor.com. It was a hit! It's just like the photo shows...no windows and not much street presence, but the staff was friendly and the food was tasty. There was a HUGE amount of take-out orders going out the door as we ate in the dining room. You go up to... More

If you want a poboy or a plate lunch and you're in or around New Iberia, Bon Creole is the place to go! They've raised their prices a bit to keep up with the increased cost of everything but still extremely reasonable and a while poboy feeds two people anyway, so split one (and yes, you can get a whole...
