Bon Creole is a small unassuming cafe/restaraunt in New Iberia with some of the best po-boys and plate lunches around. The fried shrimp or fried oyster sandwiches, on fresh french bread are worth the trip. I have never gotten a sandwich there that was not overflowing with fried shrimp. or oysters if you prefer. Fried on the spot when ordered,... More

We tried this little spot due to the reviews on TripAdvisor.com. It was a hit! It's just like the photo shows...no windows and not much street presence, but the staff was friendly and the food was tasty. There was a HUGE amount of take-out orders going out the door as we ate in the dining room. You go up to... More

If you want a poboy or a plate lunch and you're in or around New Iberia, Bon Creole is the place to go! They've raised their prices a bit to keep up with the increased cost of everything but still extremely reasonable and a while poboy feeds two people anyway, so split one (and yes, you can get a whole... Been there twice and both times were excellent. Good local food. I've had the oyster po'boy and gumbo (served with potato salad). Very good, lots of flavor. Caution on the po'boy, a 'half' is a meal by itself. The 'whole' is really large. They have lunch specials which also look great (Monday: red beans and rice w/sausage, and others throughout... More

Came here for their chicken sausage gumbo. Heard all over Lafayette that this was the place for gumbo. You would never think of going into this place. It's not the best advertised but great local cuisine. It set off the road, no windows painted block. But what great gumbo! Here is where I learned to mix my potato salad into... More

We had as much trouble finding Bon Creole as we had the first time, but finding it and having the Bon Creole experience was as much fun - and as delicious - as it was the first time, too. We ate too much, really, a 6 inch overstuffed Po'Boy is enough! The grilled shrimp salad is copious; no need for... More

Superb seafood po boy heaping with good, hot stuff. Fast service in a laid back atmosphere keeps me coming back.

I was born and raised in New Iberia but have lived the last 26 years of my life in Colorado. Everytime I go back to New Iberia I have to go get a shrimp po boy. Best po boy I have ever had. Can't wait to move back so I can go there more often 😊
