Service was kind of slow. A few times I had to get their attention. Of course the Soccer Game was on. I ate solo one night and then took a client the second time I went. Food was great. I would recommend this place if you are not in a hurry.

I've eaten here twice, both times I had salad and both were good. The taco salad was a very generous serving but the Texano salad was much better, loaded with beef, chicken and shrimp. My waiter was very attentive with additional chips and salsa along with drink refills.

The El Chile Verde was a warm and welcome restaurant. It's simple - plastic silverware and worn furniture - but the food was plentiful and tasty. The margaritas were especially good. The waiter was polite and attentive.

It was OK. Little flavor, bland really... but it was better than what we have in Utah and Minnesota. Similar to eating Mexican food cooked by non-Mexicans.

I will never set foot in this place again. The server I had ran out to my car as I was pulling out of the restaurant and was acting as if I did not pay. Quite embarrassing for me considering people were watching! He kept waiving my receipt. He did not speak very good English and I kept showing him... More

True Mexican Food And great Service. Liked it so much . It is where I proposed to my wife. All the staff go out of there way to make sure everything is 100 % authentic. I give it a 100 out of 100

Being in Cajun country, this Mexican restaurant was OK. Having eaten Mexican food all over the country El Chile Verde was alright, but lacked any real spice or heat. I had the shrimp burritos which were OK. Small shrimp were sauted with onions and green peppers served with very tasty refried beans and rice. Hubby had a combination plate with... More

Stopped by on my way through town. I was intrigued by the "Authentic Mexican Food" on the sign so I decided to forgo Wendy's across the street and sit down to an "Authentic" meal. Salsa; From a jar but the best thing I had. Cheese Dip; From a can... But not bad. Shrimp Quesadilla; Now we get to the point... More

Went online to check the reviews. Decided to check it out. Next door to the Super 8 motel on Center St/ Hwy 14. Color us SO surprised with the Taco Salads (wanted something light)! Was the absolute BEST Taco Salad I've had in a long time at a resturant. Staff was considerate and on top of making sure we were... More

Having relocated for work from California I'm forever on the hunt for authentic Mexican food, and finally found it after a soccer game in New Iberia. El Chile Verde is a rather large restaurant with booths and tables, and you get chips and salsa to snack on while you contemplate the menu. The menu is large, consisting of many combinations,...
