A lil overrated.

This place is pretty good. It's. Dry clean and has great service. It's right on the lake w a great view. It's a lil pricy but the food is good.

Go casual or go for fine dining. This is the finest restaurant in Natchitoches. You can have a fine dinner in the main room or eat in the bar. The main room has top steaks or seafood dinners and the bar has an inexpensive daily special with wide screen TV for sports viewing. I had a coupon from the motel... More

A little surprised that folks here want to ruin good LA crab by frying their crab cakes. Wouldn't recommend ordering. Food was OK. Being a Monday night it wasn't busy. Waiter was a college student but did a good job .

This place was recommended by the clerk at the Holiday Inn Express. We liked the location, right on the lake shore. It was a Monday night, so we just walked in without reservations and got a table overlooking the lake. Service was quick, friendly and efficient (cudos, Mark). One of us had the soup and steak and thought is was... More

A great restaurant with white linens and service to match. My favorite is the Bourbon Street....blackened fish filet topped with lump crabmeat dressing. Add a loaded baked potato and you will be pleased. The salad bar is large with an excellent assortment. The steaks are excellent as well. We have not had a bad meal fro Mariners over the years.... I make it a point to investigate before choosing a place to eat. Usually I know what we'll like. For whatever the reason, the reviewers seem not to have known how really bad the food was. But, I can see how it could have happened. If you ordered something plain and straightforward, it'll be fine. The steamed vegetables were fine.... More

I wanted to be excited about our visit to Mariners...but, the food was just ok. We weren't incredibly hungry when we went, so I just got a cup of jambalaya, he got a cup of gumbo...we shared the combination appetizer platter. I can't say that anything was great, but the catfish was good, and I'm not much of a catfish... More

I went to dinner with family tonight after a long road trip day. I was not that hungry but the family wanted to go to Mariners for dinner. When I walked in, they showed a Thursday special of a Hamburger and Fries on their billboard when you first walked in. We were seated in the dinner room. I ordered the... More

Although Mariner's remains popular with many of the older residents of Natchitoches, and although it has a magnificent location, it needs revitalization in so many ways. The 1970's are screaming to get their salad bar back and the extensive menu is made up of cliché-ridden dishes with no innovation. This restaurant needs an executive chef who will re-decorate and re-vamp... More
