Very good- local place to eat for many years.

Have eaten here for many years- food very consistant- always good. Service may be a bit slow at times- so don't go if you are in a hurry. Fresh food - made to order- so always good and hot when served.

The food is cooked fresh when you order. It's always hot and prepared as you requested. The service is slow and sometimes dry, but this is part of the atmosphere!

Service is slow, food is worse! I got the combination platter with fish and shrimp. 3 Frozen breaded shrimp, 2 catfish fillets with a slight smell. $18.00 later not very good. Dark and dinghy inside

the restaurant is in a dodgy part of town. The restaurant does not look like one form the outside. The enterance looks like one is going into a dark room and the inside is dark and old. Food is good southern style cooking even though served on a foam plate. wait staff is very quick

A couple of nights ago, I took 2 of my children to the Mohawk for supper. I had not been there in literally 30 yrs, I'm guessing. Happily, I found everything is still the same:) I had the fried catfish, my children had shrimp and grilled salmon. They loved it and are wanting to go back:) The price is good.... More

It's hard to stay away from the Mohawk Tavern. Though it opened sometime in the early 1950's and can always use a bit of remodeling, still I keep returning. Perhaps it is the wait staff, some of whom have been there for years and whose competence level is extremely high. Or perhaps it is the food like the award winning... More

Wanting to have seafood and cajun eats we chose this out of a travel pamphlet. Found this restaurant in an industrial part of West Monroe. Not sure of the place we parked and walked into a dark door and interior. Was greeted by a waiter and told to proceed forward. What a shock...an old fashioned bar and restaurant. Every table... If you are looking for a friendly local restaurant this is the place. DO NOT judge the restaurant by the exterior....just walk in and be surprised. Every table was taken and the choices extensive ....try it.

Mohawk is definitely worth the stop ! Every time we are Monroe we make a point to stop by at least once. The oysters, the gumbo are some of our favorites. Try the catfish. Every thing is delicious. The employees are wonderful people.
