This place is so cute and they have the most awesome burgers in the world!! I love the sweet bun they serve it on. I love that they put a bowl of pickles on the table for you to snack on. You won't be disappointed if you visit this restaurant!!

Stopped for lunch. My Wife and I ordered sandwiches. Their menu is quite extensive with a lot of choices. DO NOT USE THE RESTROOMS. Absolutely FILTHY. Someone needs to explain to the employees that they need to get in there and really clean. Toilet was broken in the men's restroom and a sign on the door, IF DOOR IS CLOSED,... More

This has been one of my favorite place for almost two decades, even through some ownership changes. The food is great. Lots of good sandwiches, love the Ruben. The cottage fries with honey mustard is awesome. The culture has changed a little to more of a bar feel especially in the evening. Oh yeah, one of the best beer selections... More

Extensive menu & selection of all types of sandwiches; also daily specials + several good salads. The burgers are very good and you can order several kinds of french fries. The club sandwich is so large two adults could split it. Reuben is also good;mI did not think the Philly cheese was up to par. great variety of beer. The... More

Every time We go back to Monroe we have to make a stop at the Pickle barrel. The sandwiches and appetizers are great , and they have a very unique menu. Last time had the burger with a fried egg on top and you have to get the cottage fries, best fries ever!!! Great draft beer selection too and they... More

After delivering goods to Monroe, we were ready to eat before heading back to Texas. We checked out Trip Advisor's recommendations, then headed to the Pickle Barrel. 1. Lots of good beer on Tap. Many varieties. If you like beer, and trying something new, this is a great place. 2. the Cajun Burger was shockingly good. We all enjoyed it.... More

New ownership a while back made LOTS of changes and improvements. Kept many of the menu items -- and their clever names. Still a great place for lunch and a brew. It's becoming more of a night-spot too as time has gone on, and my wife and I stopped in last night for a drink. If we were still in... More

A friend recommended this place for its "blue plate special" and indeed, a dry erase board listed some options, which you better memorize as you enter, because your waitress probably won't know what they are. My spouse took the bait, but I ordered the Philly steak sandwich. This place serves all their drinks, except beer, in styrofoam cups, so if... More
