Great lunch in downtown Monroe

We took Trip Advisor's suggestion and went to the best stop in Monroe! Cotton is in a cool old building right on the water (sadly, it doesn't take advantage of the view!) My friend and I enjoyed two different entrees, but shared a bite! She got the pimento cheeseburger. It had a HUGE beef... read more

If you're interested in spending extra for definitely professionally prepared designer food, this is the place to go. Regular foods always have a twist to them. Food is of excellent quality but the variety is very limited. Also, don't be surprised if they've run out of a particular menu item if you're late to lunch or dinner. In this beautifully... More

Perhaps Monroe is known for other than its restaurants. The ambiance of the restaurant is great-wonderful old south bar, great decor, large wooden booths and delta blues playing in the background. One person had an ENORMOUS hamburger with fries, one had shrimp and grits and others had salads. The other meals were of modest size and good but nothing special.... More

This restaurant deserves its top rating for restaurants in Monroe! A home run for service, ambience and most importantly the food. I had the shrimp and grits while others had more traditional breakfast food. All really tasty!!! You add a classy setting, nice blues music playing in the background with strong service from waiter……..what could be better? Highly recommend it!

Pros: Delicious. Great service. Spot on ambiance! GO! A little pricy - yet so worth it! Bad is hardly anything.. Make sure you read the menu and understand what your ordering. It's fancy so.. Different.

Cotton remains the optimal dining experience in the NE corner of the state. For this visit, my fourth, we had a party (family) of eight - thus I was able to sample many of Cotton's offerings and cocktails. Nothing disappointed... the reviews immediately below hit the high points. Hate to sound trite, but if it's your first time, try the... More

What we did not expect was the price but for the food, atmosphere and wine I believe the price should be expected for the four of us it was 140 with only two drinks so, Great food great price. BUT worth eating there if... More

Food was out of this world. We had the Duck wrap appetizer FANTASTIC!!!!!!! The Duck fat fries were delicious. We had the Shrimp and Grits and the pimento cheese burger both were delicious. Cory our server could not have been more helpful and attentive. Prices were fair and reasonable.
