the cracklings were light not overly fried, didn't need to order the duck fat fries, but they were very good. the salmon and the fried chicken on black eyed peas were very tasty and the portions were just right. very reasonable prices. servers were very nice but the overall service was a bit unprofessional.

Cotton was rated number 2 at the time. I immediately searched the menu and happy to see such wonderful dishes! A must for one of the two nights spent in Monroe, LA. Upon entering we were greeted by a lovely (and quiet) hostess. The restaurant was quite empty. (Though, it was a Monday evening.) But, she put us at a... More

We arrived on a weeknight at 8pm to find the place nearly empty. We sat at the bar initially and many of the items we were interested in ordering were either no longer available or not available this close to closing. Great drinks, would definitely try again on a night when it was busier.

The Cotton Restaurant in a historic old cotton warehouse in Monroe, LA was a treat! Cracklings, baked oysters, gumbo, Muscovy duck wraps -- cream cheese, jalapeño, bacon, honey -- WOW! My wife says the food was good and the bartender was "charming and handsome." We'd love to come back sometime.

Oh my gosh! Some of the best food I have ever tasted. Service was great. Food was fresh and delicious. Just be prepared to pay. Had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 coffee, 1 iced tea, 1 mimosa and tip was $85! It was great food, but the price will keep me from going there too many times. Only on very... More

One of my absolute long-time favorite restaurants!!! Chef Cory Bahr is a master of the farm-to-table movement in Monroe. Menu is constantly changing so you MUST visit often to sample all his ingenious modern takes on Southern dishes.

We stopped in for brunch on our way to Thanksgiving vacation. What a wonderful surprise!!! The restaurant is in an old building on the river. Beautifully restored and decorated. There were 6 of us so they seated us in a large booth. We all ate something different and everything was very tasty. Our favorites were the shrimp and grits, pork... More
