Louisiana Food with New York Twist

Housed in a Riverside classic building this place was a great place from the Chef who won Season 12 of "Chopped". I started with a nice Spinish Salad with candied Pecans and then had some Shrimp and Grits. My co-worker had the Mississippi Quail on Waffle which is truely a haute cuisine twist on... read more

Served on black eyed peas and collard greens was delicious. Sausage was made in house had a sweet smokey flavor and the duck cooked to perfection, lightly crispy on the outside and juicy meat inside. Nice setting for couples and small parties (less than 10), but there is a second floor for larger parties.

Stopped on our way through Monroe going from Jackson to Dallas. Called when we were 5 minutes away and Lance Zeigler got us in no problem. So many excellent choices it was too hard to choose but the wait and kitchen staff accommodated us by mixing two half order appetizers together - deviled eggs & pimento cheese beignets. DELICIOUS! We... More

This is nothing like the normal food most people eat, it's more like the food you see chef Ramsey cooking on TV.. I had the duck wraps that were outstanding, nothing duck tasting about them to me... My main course was a filet which I ordered well done. It came out well done and not burned like a lot of... More

We have had several friends recommend Cottons but when we saw it last month in Garden and Gun, we planned our Mother's day dinner here for Saturday night. We booked reservations 2 weeks in advance and had little option. Note that Open Table indicated nothing available but after a call to the restaurant, we were booked for 6:30 pm. Upon... More

Not my favorite - a lot of publicity but too many flavors piled together on grits or peas for my taste

Went here with five others on a quiet weekday evening. Everyone enjoyed their food from the apps - duck wraps - to the entrees and desserts! Lots of creative sauces used. The duck entree was excellent as well as the bread pudding. Only reason this isn't a five is due to service. Maybe we got the second string since it... More

Been wanting to go for awhile now and had a chance to do brunch last Sunday . Everything was perfect, had deviled eggs with caviar and duck wraps for appetizers. The shrimp and grits were awesome, and my wife had fried quail and waffles which was really really good. They even made me some of their famous duck fat fries... More

Simple-sounding food prepared with a twist. Be sure you check out the daily lunch specials. Have you ever thought black eyed pea and rice Hoppin John was pretty boring? Well their's will change your mind...exquisite composition of flavors and textures. Their North Delta Shrimp & Grits is distinguished by a dark roux based Andouille sauce that has crisp sautéed trinity... More

This is one of the if not the best meal I've ever had. I had the beef tenderloin with pureed potatoes and vegetables. This was a great cut of meat prepared perfectly. Great place and atmosphere .
