On a road tip across america. Ended up in Monroe at lunch time and found this place with TA. Beautiful historic building and room. Unknown to us Monroe had just got their power back on after 3 days without and the menu was very short. This was explained by a great waiter. Had an appetizer of bacon wrapped duck loin... More

My daughter and I stopped for dinner on our way to Montgomery, AL for a college tour. My shrimp and grits were the best I had ever eaten. The grits were so creamy. Dessert was over the top good. I had ordered the fried white cheddar apple pie with stout ice cream. This was one of the best desserts I... More

Cotton is a beautiful restaurant. Try to sit upstairs if you can. The Duck Breast Wraps are always excellent and the Shrimp and grits will please you.

1ST time at Cotton’s. I came away very impressed. A group went for a birthday celebration. We started with wine and appetizers. They have a huge wine list. We had the duck wraps, smoked trout dip, and the hummus. Duck wraps are outstanding, trout dip very tasty. I had the fish special of the day, which was sheepshead. It was... More

We were traveling to Florida and my daughter wanted to stop and eat at Cotton, she remembered it was featured on the food channel. We stopped and ate lunch and it was good. The staff is very professional, genuinely friendly and helpful with making choices. The building has an interesting history and after lunch, our waiter (Marcel) took us on... More

The food, the building, the service- I can't say enough. From the moment we walked in we knew this was going to be a great experience. Everything we had was exceptional (I mean, come on, the fries are cooked in duck fat). Our server Dylan was outstanding and Chef Cory Baher is a master. We went during lunch and need... More

Our last visit, the fish special rocked. This time, a new chef tried an African spin on grilled albacore, and while tasty, was not in the same league. That said, the Oysters Bienville were outstanding and the grilled Caesar was excellent. Still good value wine options, and the entire staff was on their game. Again, we felt well cared for.

The Blue Crab appetizer had chicken in it ? When we asked why, we were assured it wasn't chicken, yet the bill had an additional charge of ADD GRILL CHICKEN??. The Campfire fish was soggy with no seasoning and the salad was like swallowing a whole pack of double mint gum.. This place was not very busy and this was... More
