Restaurant Sage just may be my favorite fine dining stop in Monroe, LA. When we arrived we were greeted at our table by Chef Mark Smith who we allowed to surprise us with all courses of our meal. He asked a few questions regarding what we liked or disliked and then the magic started. Highly recommend trusting the chef to... More

Great steakhouse. Food is always good. They also have a redfish on rthe menu that is superb. Try sitting in the bar area. Good salad bar and great bar. Centrally located in Monroe and everyone eats here.

We were in town for the wedding of the daughter of life long friends and needed a place to host a bridesmaids luncheon. We had a place scheduled and at the last minute things just didn't seem right so we changed the venue to Sage. Well the old saying that everything happens for a reason came true once again. We... I hosted a bridesmaid luncheon for 30 and Sage was exceptional! I want to thank Sherri, Mark, Tommy, and Destiny for an absolutely beautiful setting. Not only was the room covered with white tablecloths and fresh flowers, but the table settings were impressive which included a typed menu with a choice of soup or salad, three entrees, and 2 desserts.... Food was great. Rib eye was as tender as a filet and red fish was good with a nice sauce. Prices were higher than we expected, but we prefer to eat at local restaurants when traveling.

Celebrated my brother’s birthday last Friday evening at the Sage. The four of us had 4 different entrées. We had the steak, the shrimp and grits, the Sea Bass and the Red Fish. First the dinner rolls came out of the oven a little early. As we cut one open to butter it, the insides stuck to the knife. The... More

In Monroe, sometimes a restaurant is great and other times it can be horrible. Sage is the exception to this rule. Everytime I dine at this establishment, it is consistently good and the drink fabulous. Salad Bar is always fresh and full (with the exception of one time I went very late in the evening close to closing and the... More

Sage is a good quality dining experience. Some meals are pricey leaving the small plates and appetizers as some of the better deals. Good daily happy hour and grilled oysters are great.

Sage is popular neighborhood restaurant with a great bar area and patio. We love hanging out there with a beer and appetizers like the grilled oysters. The atmosphere is upscale casual. I love their seared salmon and the salad bar. The cosmos are delicious. Great restaurant for a romantic dinner or a business lunch.

I'd heard some good things about this place so I thought I'd give it a try.The wraps, salad and the drinks were good, but it was all downhill from there. My Filet was sitting on what had to be mashed potatoes out of a box. The steak itself was over cooked and Very Dull. My wife had the Seabass with... More

Thank you for your feedback. I do feel bad that we were not allowed to fix this in house for you. Please give me a ring at your earliest convenience so I can earn your business back.
