Seemed like it started with the salad not brought out as requested and server snatching my charred oysters away without asking if I was done with it. Ok, salad was corrected after an explanation by me. Progressed to him never checking on us for anything or any water refills. Finally asked busboy for more water. When I told server about... More

Acme Oyster House is a NO landmark. I haven't' been there in several years and this was my wife's first visit. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. Don't get discouraged when you see the line down the street. My advice would be to take the first available option when waiting to be seated. The service at the... More

I wanted a simple, authentic, non-touristic place to experience local food. I got it! First time ever to tried any oyster, I've tried the chargrilled oyster at Acme oyster house, and the taste was so flavorful. Captain Mike's plate was enough for 2-4 persons. Drinks were well prepared. Considering the closing time was at 11pm, and we walked in 10:50pm... More

Acme Oyster House is always a great choice whether you are in the mood for a softshell crab poboy or raw oysters. The service staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is energetic especially during lunch hours. I have been here may times and will return every chance I get! Keep up the great work.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel staff when we asked for a restaurant that had good friend catfish. We were a party of 10. We ordered a variety of items from the menu, catfish included. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My favorite was the "Craw Puppies." It's crawfish and onions stuffed inside a hush puppy. Yum! Gotta love the grilled oysters but that's not the only good thing they have. The fried seafood is wonderful. The service is always very good. We always love our visits to this wonderful restaurant. A must for anyone visiting New Orleans.

Decent food. The environment was too rushed, loud and un relaxing. I would not recommend this location. Food was ok. Just couldnt enjoy our meal with the atmospheric challenges.

We loved the chargrilled oysters and the gumbo. The pureed oyster soup, forgot what it's called, is okay, but spend the money instead on the gumbo if your'e going to get soup. The fried oyster po boy is awesome!
