Acme Oyster House has been a French Quarter place for years now in Metarie easy in and out near the malls. Casual family place with good food and prices. Service was quick and our waitress was helpful and prompt. We had fried oyster and shrimp poboys and the seafood was fresh and tasty.

Nice Casual restaurant. The day we were there, the Saints were playing and the game was on the TV. People were wearing their black and gold and the atmosphere was enthusiastic. The food was very good. I'm not a raw oyster person, but had fried oysters and they were expertly done. My only complaint with this restaurant was our waiter,... More

My wife and I visited on a Sunday night and sat in the bar area. One of the bartenders waited on us and did a very nice job. The raw oysters, chargrilled oysters, and oyster shooter were very good. We would visit this location again as well as recommend it to others.

Eating at the Acme Oyster Bar was a fabulous first time experience. Our waiter, Michael made a couple of suggestions that turned out be a life changing experience. The Char-Grilled oysters are worth making the trip back to New Orleans to have again and again. The sauce on the Étouffée was perfect, not too thick and not too sweet. Adding... More

Good place to eat. Prices are very reasonable. Go there fairly often. Occasionally will have a very good grilled fish of the day. Keep going because they have a dark beer on tap.

I ate a quick lunch here one day this week. I sat at the bar and had some wonderful raw oysters. It was a quick in and out trip, as I had a meeting to attend. If you want great oysters, this is the place for a quick dozen!

Traveling for business and was looking for a good seafood place that wouldn't break the bank. Found it! This place is really good! Prompt service. Good raw oysters. Had the fried fish pontchartrain with the sauce on top...so good! Taking bread pudding dessert to go...can't wait to try it! Ambiance is ok. It is loud but I was by myself... More

The food is always good and the closeness to our hotel made it easy to get to. Parking can be a bit tight on busy nights but the adjacent shopping center usually has spaces open a short walk away. The atmosphere can be noisy so don't assume you can carry on much of a dinner conversation. All the wait staff... More
