Great seafood and Poboy sandwiches. Excellent service. This is the kind of food that made New Orleans famous. No matter what entree you choose, make sure you get the bread pudding for dessert! I was lucky enough to meet the lady who makes it and she and her desert are both wonderful!

We love eating the traditional New Orleans fare at Acme. We also love the one in Destin. This time we got the Roast beef poorboy and a cup of Red Beans. The Gumbo is good and the oysters a my favorite. It was crowded because of Mardi Gras on Veterans. Got there at 5:00 and didn't have to wait.

This is a busy, active, no-nonsense eating place. When we arrived for lunch there was a fairly short line, but since we were two people we were seated very quickly. Service was quick and brisk. Our food came out quickly. This is not a place to set quietly in your corner booth, this is a place to come to get... More

The raw oysters are great and of good size. Ate a dozen and was just enough for me. Going to try to go there again before I leave.

Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. The food was good, just a bit extra busy for a Friday. We could tell she was being pulled in multiple directions, but she still did well. Definitely come back again.

The Acme Seafood and Oyster House is a great place to for oysters and seafood. They have a very adequate bar seating as well as a large restaurant area. You may want to call ahead if you are planning on taking a large party. I have had the seafood platters, oysters, shrimp and fish and they are all very good.

Had dinner at Acme on a Sunday Night. I had a roast beef Po'boy and red beans and rice as a side. Husband had Sampler. My sandwich was a mess. Unrecognizable as anything related to roast beef. The Red Beans and rice were bland. My husband's New Orleans sampler was not much better. Mid way through our meal, the cheery... More
