This local eatery sits in suburbs by the lakefront. Everything we ordered was super! Fried steamed or raw. Veggies were great and were toped with crab meat and spiced all up. Nice lighting and a nice mature crowd. It's was a great surprise. We will be going back. Try the lunch menu. Huge selection!

I live quite near Mr. Ed's and I eat there frequently. The seafood is fresh (located near the fishing fleet in Bucktown) and well prepared. The broiled snapper dish is excellent and a good value to boot. Fried dishes are properly done, not to heavy or greasy and very generous. I find the Italian dishes to be pretty average but... More

Best onion rings ever! Roast beef poboy was pretty good. It was a good size but could have had more seasoning. Went with a group of friends and everyone was satisfied. Parking can be tricky.

We dined here with a group of a dozen people reuniting after almost fifty years. My food--a selection of catfish, fried shrimp and oysters, and crab-cakes--was tasty and filling. But the place is so lively and the long tables so arranged that one cannot hear but two companions (or be heard). I'd advise those eating here to be content with... More

We were taken to dinner here by friends whom we were visiting when in New Orleans. There was a wait to get in that night but once we did we ordered and got our food quickly. The only problem was that we couldn't get the server's attention to get drink refills. Hubby finally went up to the bar where already... More

Mr. Ed's on Live Oak in Metairie is the perfect place for that mid week meal when the wife does not feel like cooking. Their barbeque beef po-boy sandwich is the best. Their onion rings are excellent, as are their etoufe' specials. The staff is attentive. All in all a wonderful experience.

Fun, family friendly place. Best oyster poor boy in town. Seafood and Italian specials consistently good. Service good. Cocktails good - but wines limited and not very good. Great neighborhood place for a nice lunch or dinner.

Tony Quest 16 Minutes Ago Tried out Mr Eds last night , my family of 4. The food was good , but the prices were extremely high for the size portions served.I got the craws etufeau ,no sides .It came in a large bowl with a gigantic ball of rice with about a appetizer amount of actual etufeau , maybe... I got to go to this restaurant for lunch during a job interview. I was surprised in many ways. First, the food and service was excellent. Thinking about coming to New Orleans is causing me to gain weight. When I was there, I met the potential new staff that might be reporting to me. If they like it and my... More
