My husband was navigating as I was driving and I thought he had lost his mind! It felt like we were going in circles and going to egg stuck on the causeway again! But we made it to Drago's and he made a very good choice of restaurants. We started with the crabmeat au gratin dip which was rich and... More

I didn't want to have bar food at the local HI. Searched tripadvisor for a good place to have sea food. At the time of this writing, Drago's was rated #3 in Metairie, but should be #1. I had the ANDOUILLE CRUSTED Fresh Catch (red fish) with corn maque choux. After getting over the mouth drool reading the menu with... More

If you haven't noticed the reviews for the charbroiled oysters you're an idiot. They are amazing. Gumbo average. Red Fish with Andouille crust, excellent. And I didn't have to put up with the French Quarter stench. I'll be back tomorrow.

On a rainy day in New Orleans, my wife and I drove around and ended up in Metairie around lunchtime. I checked my favorite restaurant finding app and saw Drago's had good reviews. We pulled in and the parking lot was nearly full mid afternoon on a weekday, which I took to be a good sign. It was! We had... More

Get the charbroiled oysters, they're fantastic! Also, the red beans and rice entrée is one of the best around New Orleans and it comes garnished with Oysters Brochettes. The garnish will make you go back to the appetizer menu for more. Enjoy!

Great seafood,CHARBROILED OYSTERS are grilled over charcoal with butter, garlic, italian seasonings and served hot. I dare you to eat just 1 dozen... it's impossible.. they're that good. If you want Lobster, also THE place to go. Excellent menu

My husband and I decided to go to Drago's after seeing it won the "Best Metairie Restaurant for 2014" in the Gambit New Orleans Magazine. We arrived around 7:00 on a Thursday night, and we were seated upon arriving. I noticed almost immediately that this is not a "fine dining" establishment, since the dining furniture suggested more of a "Denny's"... More

We were really excited to try Dragos but were a little disappointed. The Qysters Brochette were over cooked and somewhat dry. The Oysters Voisin were very good. The Shrimp and Grits with Tasso was passable but far from the best. The Shrimp Etouffee was so salty it was almost inedible. Maybe we should have just tried their signature charbroiled oysters.

I always look for local dives, but a friend took me to Drago's. I'll be back. Thankfully their atmosphere is theirs. They didn't mind my ratty shorts and sneakers.

I have been there for a business dinner, the locals talked all day about this lace so expectations were high.... well to be a restaurant it is a bit overrated. the place is a bit basic and not well maintained, chairs were sticky, plates obviously old, service amateur. Anyway we got of course the famous char grilled oysters, which I... More
