Atmosphere, service and quality was excellent and delicious! My first visit but definitely not my last.

I was a regular when I live in New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina, and loved it. On this return visit the fried oysters were tiny, over battered and overfried - essentially crispy flour. The fries were from a bag of frozen spuds, not hand cut like before. No wonder there were empty parking spots outside- I don't ever remember that... More

Went to Deanie's, note the locals all go between 5 and 7 pm, if you come at 8 the place is nearly deserted. Instead of bread they serve a dish of crab spice flavoring boiled potatoes, excellent and unusual. Their appetizer portion of BBQ shrimp was bigger than entree portion at Pascal Manale's. The plate of fried oysters contained at... More

I've grown up on the Gulf all my life, but Deanie's definitely had the best seafood ever. I got a seafood pasta dish and I barely ate half of it. They give you huge portions especially for the great prices.

Best seafood salad (order the remoulade as dressing) and fried shrimp poboy in Metairie. A stronghold for Nawlins native's. Broiled potato appetizers cooked in Zatarain's Crab Boil or equivalent with butter are to die for.

Great tasting fried seafood garuntied to go home with leftovers. Boiled patatos are awesome and please start off with some fried onion rings.

This is the one restaurant I have to go to every time I visit New Orleans. I go to the Deanie's in Bucktown. The stuffed flounder was cooked perfectly. The drinks were well made by the bartender. I always crave Deanie's and being there after all these years, I remember why I love them so much. The only thing I... More

Ate lunch at Deanie's. It was good but not as good as the last time. Our waitress was new; still need more training. The shrimp and catfish was awesome! The cheesecake was so-so; seem like the pecans were missing from the crust. The waitress took my plate before I finished my meal.

You walk on in (Lake Ave location) and the host passes you on to the waitress. Now despite having a whole sea of available tables stacked so tight and perfectly ( I know why), the waitress will seat you right next to the table they just sat, and the next party that wanders in will be seated next to you,...
