Acceptable Seafood

Four of us went for dinner at Deanies. Enjoyed the boiled potatoes that were served instead of bread. That gave an aura of uniqueness. Unfortunately the rest of the food was only OK. The waiter we had was very friendly and did a great job.

A local recommended this seafood place. On a weekday, there was a 30 minute wait, which is a good sign! I ordered a combination plate of crawfish, cooked 4 ways. All four were outstanding. I was ashamed of having to leave much on my plate, but my appetite was not up to the size of the helping. And, being on... More

My experience was bad dealing with a manager that acted unprofessional. Waving her finger, her neck, and just did not care to listen to anyone. Will neve r spend my money in a place where a manager is so nasty

I've always heard people mention Deanie's restaurant. Finally had the chance to make it over there and try it out. The seafood platter was to die for delicious!

The food was delicious, but the restaurant was filthy and very overpriced for what it was. Make sure you ask prices of specials before ordering. We had a table of 8 people and had great service once we were finally seated. None of us ordered anything fried, but walking around that place, I've never seen so much fried food in... More

This IS where the locals go! This is one of the best places in town to get seafood. Instead of getting warm bread before your meal, you get hot boiled potatoes. (for those of you that aren't from here, that might sound boring-but the potatoes have been boiled in crab boil;they are delicious!) Food is consistently wonderful, waitress are wonderful. It... Very good seafood, especially the fried dishes. The seafood platter is enormous, and two of us could hardly eat the half order. The fried fish fillets were extremely light and not greasy. Service was prompt. Decor was nice. It looks like they refurbished the place within the past couple of years.

My husband had grown up in Metairie, Louisiana. He remembered when Deanie's was just a seafood market. I am very pleased with the staff and service we got. When we move back home. We will become frequent customers. Thank you to the staff. Keep up the great job.
