Fried fix

Since I live in Little Rock, good fried seafood pretty much means fried catfish. I know, that's not seafood. So when I get to NOLA it's nice to indulge and that is exactly what you do here. Sometimes I go for the BBQ shrimp and they are excellent but today it was all fried. Make sure to sub a... read more

We recently visited this location and I must say that I was totally underwhelmed. The wait was over an hour. We ordered a seafood platter, BBQ shrimp, and Crawfish. The only thing that I thought was remotley good was the safoood balls on the platter. Everything else did not have enough seasoning. The BBQ shrimp was an oily mess. I... More

We had a large group on a Saturday night, which worried me. There was no need for worry (we called ahead). The appetizers came quick, the drinks came quick and were refilled fast. The atmosphere is a little loud, but that's just because the place is always packed. Here's the reason why: The FOOD! I had the crawfish quartet, which... More

If you want fresh seafood and cold beer Deanies is the spot. We had gumbo, crawfish, steamed shrimp, fried shrimp and loved every bite! The crawfish were a little small but think there has been a shortage this year. The gumbo was hands down best gumbo I've ever had and I am a seafood gumbo junkie!

The boiled crawfish were good but they were kind of small...had to pay extra for cob of corn. Other people in the restaurant ordered fried foods that were piled high on the plates. Our server was friendly. Kiddo had a $10 burger that he didn't eat. Not much for atmosphere. Had a seafood market next door.

My daughter and her husband and my granddaughter came from Missouri for a graduation gift for my granddaughter to New Orleans. We decided to take them to Deanie's, as usual it was packed. I didn't tell them about the amount of food you were given. My daughter ordered the catfish platter, my son -in law ordered the stuffed shrimp, my... More

I been going to this restaurant since it opened. The main staple is the fried and boiled seafood which are very good. However my review here is only on the stuffed crab plate which are baked and the stuffing is inside a real blue crab shell. I'm not salt sensitive but I have to say the stuffing was over salted.... Delicious frozen Pina Coladas, I drink it as my desert & use a spoon.. Go for lunch prices are cheeper. They give you a lot of food you will need a box to go.

On a recent trip down to New Orleans we here for dinner. It was really nice place. The wait was not bad at all. I really liked the fact that instead of bread they give you potatos before the meal. The potatos were from the boils. We had onion rings and they were awesome. There was a perfect coating to... More
