I have eaten here 6 times in the past year. You come for the food and not for the décor. Ambita beer in a frozen glass and excellent seafood at reasonable prices. They serve you a separate bowl of boiled potatoes instead of bread with your order even if the order includes fries, This is a local custom. I just... More

Located in a great spot in the French Quarter. I ordered the half seafood platter and was able to eat from it at least 3 days because it was so much food. This was my first time dining there. I got recommendations from my friends so I picked Deanies. I was celebrating my birthday after the Saints/Panthers game. I will... More

Not a bad drive from the Quarter up to the lakeside. We stopped for my daughter to try the barbecue shrimp and I had the fried oyster and shrimp combo. Both were tasty and priced consistent with the area.

A known local place is definitely worth finding. Fresh seafood, local color and a lunch you will regret missing if you don't find this place. Fried oysters so good you don't even need any sauce.

Came here for blue crabs and was very satisfied. the crabs were full of meat and tasted very fresh. They are sold individually by size. We wanted XL but they had only Large left which worked out great too. They were boiled in crab boil and still had a lot flavors to them.

Must be good when it is full of locals. The BBQ shrimp are a must, and red potatoes as an appetizer. Food was very good as well as service. A little drive but worth it for good local eats!

I was a regular when I live in New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina, and loved it. On this return visit the fried oysters were tiny, over battered and overfried - essentially crispy flour. The fries were from a bag of frozen spuds, not hand cut like before. No wonder there were empty parking spots outside- I don't ever remember that... More

Went to Deanie's, note the locals all go between 5 and 7 pm, if you come at 8 the place is nearly deserted. Instead of bread they serve a dish of crab spice flavoring boiled potatoes, excellent and unusual. Their appetizer portion of BBQ shrimp was bigger than entree portion at Pascal Manale's. The plate of fried oysters contained at... More
