The food and service at Chateau du Lac are excellent and very consistent. We go there at least monthly and have never been disappointed.

New Orleanians have so many restaurant choices. This is a good one, but more for locals in Metairie. There are better places to eat in the city. Service and food were fine, but not outstanding.

I always enjoy Chateau du lac. The food is good, but I always want it to be better. Don't get me wrong, it's good. Just not over the top.

It's refreshing to get away from the tourist spots in NOLA. This place delivers on the bistro style of food. I had steak tartar and duck confit. Both were well prepared and excellent. Nothing fancy here just good French cooking. Solid wine list. They even had a French style accordion player out front playing French music. Nice place.

My family and I have visited this restaurant numerous times in the past few years. Every visit has been unforgettable. The wines are amazing and the food it divine. The most recent experience included the cheese plate as an appetizer with a bottle of "F" wine. I had the hanger steak entree and my wife had the flounder. For dessert... More

Chef Jacque is from Brittany, but his bistro fare spans all of France with an emphasis on the freshest local Louisiana seafood, meats and green stuff! I eat out weekly, but C.D.L. in Old Metairie is a fix I need on a regilar basis to find the best and most authentic bistro fare in the entire NOLA metro area. Nothing... More

Took my daughter there for a birthday dinner celebration. This was her first time there and my second. Everything, the cheese plate, escargot, scallops and the pork tenderloin and the dessert were excellent....as was the service. This is one restaurant that knows how to serve their customers. I highly recommend reservations for Friday and Saturday!! I have no doubt you... More

We had a congenial greeting and seating experience while they collected our drink orders which were delivered in a very timely manner, and we never felt rushed or hurried providing us a great atmosphere for visiting and "catching up" with each other. We had a variety of meat dishes, fish and beef, and they were all cooked to perfection, with... More

My wife and I ate there last night and it was great. They had Foie Gras terrine as a special appetizer and it was great and one of the largest that I have ever been served (this includes the times that I have had it in France). I also had the endive salad that was very good. My wife had... More
